I don't think there are. The reason it seems like there are so many is because they're highly publicized, especially since the diocese tried to do a cover-up. I'd be interested to see if the number within the Catholic Church is actually any larger than the percentage among the adult male population at large.

The problem stems from the Catholic religion not allowing their priests to marry. The Bible shows that some of the apostles were married, and that there's nothing wrong with congregation leaders marrying. This is yet another of their "traditions of men" which they follow, alienating themselves from God.
Jesus said at Mark 7:6-8: "Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: 'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.' You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men."

I think pedophiles become priest to try and help fight the urges but they end up in a position of power over children. And for the record homosexuals are not the same as pedophiles and are not more likely to become pedophiles.

Because in the Catholic religion, they don't allow these men of God to marry a woman, so they have to take their sexual frustrations out on someone else, sick isn't it ?! That's why I don't believe in that type of religion. In the bible, It says that man shouldn't be alone. Why aren't they following that. If you don't want to have sex with a female, leave our little boys alone! Pervert!
