I met decided he loved someone else? He insists that he wanted to remain friends with me as he considered me a good person and good friend. When we were introduced, I had informed him of my intentions, should it never work out between us. What do you think? Should I see things his way? Over the past month he had sent a couple of texts and on-line messages, to which I've never responded.

You're doing the right thing. He is trying to keep you on the side, as a friend or whatever. You made it clear to him what you wanted, so I don't think there should have been any misunderstandings. Don't respond to him, don't even read his messages. He screwed up.

Wow, sounds like this guy wants to have his cake and eat it too. Hey, if you already told him your intentions, then he should know how you feel. If he wanted you in his life, he wouldn't have dumped you for someone else he fell in love with. I've done the same thing in refusing to have someone in my life and it worked out fine. Someone better will come along!

If you don't want to be friends, then don't be friends. Both people have to want it for it to happen. As you don't want to be friends, then just keep ignoring him. He should get the message.
