If you are on a public street, you have no expectation of privacy. Think of the hundreds of people you passed as you were driving, whether they were walking or in another car. How is this picture different from anything they could have seen just with their own eyes. Since you are in a public place, anyone out there can take a picture of your car at any time. This one just happens to be from the government, so we get a little more upset about this one. Then again, I guess if some random person on the street took a picture of my car and mailed it to me, it might be kinda weird. The point is, though, that when you are out in public, there is very little right to privacy, because you put yourself out there with everyone else. If they took that picture in your closed garage, that would be a different matter.

If you were driving naked and the camera got a picture of the strawberry shaped birthmark on your left thigh, THAT might be an invasion of privacy.

But c'mon! You got caught doing something wrong. And getting caught is one more way le try and keep the community safe.

The cameras are mounted in clear view for all to see. Obeying the law would keep you from getting your photo snapped. Getting a ticket that way is NOT an invasion of privacy, but breaking the law IS an invitation to get such a fancy ticket.

I suspect that you are confused about your response.
It's called guilt.

Invasion of privacy applies to when you are minding your own business, doing nothing out of the ordinary. Obviously, the photoradar clocked you speeding - that's not ordinary.

Deal with it, and get over it. Hopefully you learned a lesson from it. If not, expect more mail.

if you knew the camera was there, and just got mad because it worked, that's not an invasion of privacy, its an act of ignorance.
