it's very important for you to maintain a regular med regimen, manage your meds closely and keep track of how you are feeling and report this to your psychiatrist often.
Yes, in short, you can "snap" if you have been off your meds long enough for it to leave your blood stream... but more importantly is the damage you do to your brain when the chemical balance is constantly being shifted and changed... the most important thing you can do to protect your mental health is to regualte your med doses, manage meds and keep on schedule. If you need to change meds your psych dr or your physician will set a schedule and slowly take you off to allow your body to adjust to changes

You need to stay on your meds--Zoloft doesn't usually have a big problem with withdrawal symptoms, but drugs work differently in everybody. Why didn't you have your Zoloft? The problems that made you run out of your meds might be making your mental health worse.
Get back on your meds--call your doctor or health center or borrow some Zoloft from the pharmacy if you can't contact a doctor. See if there are any community health care centers in your area--they'll treat you even if you can't pay. Sometimes, churches or community groups will help pay for meds--call Contact if you have it in your area (check the phone book) or call a mental health hotline and check on the services in your area. Do whatever you need to do to stay on your meds and stay healthy--it's worth all the effort!

Anything is possible if you just stopped taking it for more than 1 or 2 days. Doctors usually suggest not to stop Zoloft cold turkey, I take it and my doctor told me that. He also said if I want to go off of it, then I need to wean my self off it, like dropping the dosage a bit a time.

first of all how previous are you? i recognize someone(16 years previous) that took antidepressants for 2 weeks, were given worse and tried to dedicate suicide. once you're an adolescent anti-depressants might want to correctly be risky so be careful and tell your mom or dad. when you're an individual call your well being care provider and be conscious no matter if it truly is standard. i'm no longer a well being care provider, merely someone who has considered the best and the undesirable with anti-depressants! good luck!

Why did you stop taking your meds? You aren't supposed to abruptly stop w/o your Drs consent!! You can have all sorts of problems from hallucinations to severe dizziness. Get back on them ASAP.

Um, I don't think you are supposed to just stop taking it. You need to be weaned off of it. Go to the doctor.
