if someone is pregnant and eats soap or craves soap this is actually a medical condition called Pica.. you could google it..
sometimes they also crave dirt, chalk, etc. it's unhealthy to eat these things and should be mentioned to an OB because it can be a sign of a deficiency.

OH Yes indeed, a pregnant friend of mine was having these weird
cravings! She liked nibbling IVORY soap, along with eating ice cream and hot peppers!!! WOW!!! is that strange or what!!!

Actually my children have potty mouths every now and then, so I wash there mouths out with soap sometimes (not too often, but once in a blue moon), they don't like it, and I think it gets the point across!!

The teacher used 2 wash my mouth out with soap in the 1st grade, & the taste was HORRIBLE! & my sister ate comet cleanser b4 & used it 2 brush her teeth.

hey hun....my mom used to baby sit this little girl (she was a little younger then us) and she would try to eat a whole bar of soap before she left! i have no clue what was wrong with that girl lol but it sure wasnt right! she even got me and my twin sis to try it once and i can tell you it sure wont be an apatizer on my menu!....love daisy

My son was eating it last night in the bath...irish spring...I turned to say something to my daughter who was behind me and turned around and he had it in his mouth..i screamed yucky but he had it figured out by that time!

Yes my mom used to pore ivory liqiud in my mouth when I would swear. Does not taste good at all.
