And I wasted energy thinking that about some of the people giving answers.
You are right about the learning process here I feel I've gained a little each day, as it should be anyway. With or without the internet.

The times I assume that an asker is unintelligent are when they obviously know the answer they want, and don't want to hear others opinions unless they agree with the asker. For instance, a question like this: "Don't you think Bush is a moron who only wants to institute Christian rule in the US?" This asker obviously feels this way and is using this forum to tell everyone else how they feel. And this opinion is extremely simplistic and idiotic, if you ask me. If someone were to really care what others thought about Bush, they would ask something more like: "What are your thoughts about George W. Bush?" I try not to insult anyone who is asking a real question and wants a real answer, but so many of the "questions" on here are statements, and moronic ones at that.

I find it interesting (well not really- lack of better word choice, lol) that the people who feel the asker is deficient usually seems pretty deficient themselves. It's most prevalent to me in the pregnancy/trying to conceive sections. If a person asks about birth control, for example, they assume the asker is an unwed teenager who has no business asking the question. They then proceed to spout out their own beliefs on the subject, when all the asker wanted to know was if birth control pills make you fat.
Maybe that's not what you were getting at, but those are the answerers that kill me!

Intellect and intelligence.
Very Good qualities.
When a person of intelligence asks a question which shows that he is not knowledgeable in a certain discipline, there are those that feel superior to him.
Albeit, they are presuming that the person is a moron.
This is a failing on the part of some people.
It is like a PHD asking a grade school child how to build a rocket to the moon.
The PHD thinks he knows it all.
But actually he does not.
It is a part of the human condition.
We all have these tendencies from time to time.
The person who acts in this better than thou attitude is showing how ignorant he really is.

I try to be open minded about "questions" and "answers".
..however, presumptions about the "asker" are often associated with the vocabulary used, the grammatical constructions, the rhetorical nature of the question, the antagonistic "tone" of the "asker"...
Notice that I have not mentioned the knowledge of the "asker" or the "answerer"......
Asking someone's opinion is not "knowledge"
Asking someone's feelings about an issue is not "knowledge"
All of us have our [mental] strengths and weaknesses...
Deficient in knowledge or intellect - we all are in some areas and to some extent....so? Take no umbrage...

Some people also like to leave insults instead of real answers.
I know I'm not very good in bed, but I've only been doing it for a month now and my partner was aware of that in the beginning. Some people feel the need to slam my inexperience rather than halp me with my questions. It can be very frustrating.
Perhaps it's an ego trip, to make themselves feel better about themselves?

I agree but there are a lot of people here that ask hurtful or ridiculous questions, too. And there are also people that give hurtful or ridiculous answers. I try my best not to be judgemental, as should everyone else!

I ask questions, not because I need an answer, but because I'm trying to get people to think. I have the truth, I'm hoping to impart some to others who may not know.
