I'm recently divorced after 25 years of marriage. Is this kind of emotional outpouring normal?

Hello kayw,

Probably most of it, if not all of it is genuine. Some men are a lot more vocal about their love for their women. Some of it might be just endearments like he might be going over-board with it, but I imagine that most of it is how he really feels.

If you asked most women, they would probably tell you that their men don't say those kind of things near enough to them, so maybe you need to appreciate what you've got, OK?

Yes it is normal. You were married for 25 years to one man. Anytime you seperate or lose something or someone that you are familiar and comfortable with, it's hard to look at other people or things at face value. In time, it will come out if he's genuine or not.

In my experience, 52 year old men are ready to say and do anything to get some :) Seriously, they can be very charming but only time will tell if he's sincere.

how long have you two been together? if its only a couple of months then he is probably not as geniune but then again it may be a little different since you are older. He may very well feel lucky. You will find out in time

He's genuine...he probably lost someone becuase he didn't say this kind of stuff enough and now he wants to be sure that you know how he feels. Also, he's saying this stuff because he's hoping you'll say something nice back. Its his way of trying to feel secure in the relationship.

I guess u cant tell. I dont say "I love you" if I'm not sure I mean it. but some folks dont have a problem LYING to you then they'll go back & say "Well I DID love you" but changed my mind. So be careful.
