Question for muslims!!?

Question

I have been seeing these horrible pictures that muslims want to erradicate the jewish community from the face of the Earth. I have also seen radical muslims holding signs that state they will attack Europe and kill anyone that thinks bad of islam. Is this really something that is taught in your religion?

I was also wondering if violence is something that is promoted among the islamic community? I always viewed muslims as peaceful people.

I don't enjoy the fact that I feel the need to same this. I was hoping that by questioning these things that this would be a given. I in no way have a certain perception of the islamic community. I am not assuming anything and I don't even watch television! I cannot be swayed by the media in any way if I am not seeing it or listening to it. I am purely asking the islamic community so that I can get a better understanding other than accepting hear say.

Media maligns Islam


Islam is without doubt the best religion but the media is in the hands of the westerners who are afraid of Islam. The media is continuously broadcasting and printing information against Islam. They either provide misinformation about Islam, misquote Islam or project a point out of proportion, if any.

When any bomb blasts take place anywhere, the first people to be accused without proof are invariably the Muslims. This appears as headlines in the news. Later, when they find that non-Muslims were responsible, it appears as an insignificant news’ item.

If a 50 year old Muslim marries a 15 year old girl after taking her permission, it appears on the front page but when a 50 year old non-Muslim rapes a 6 year old girl, it may appear in the news in the inside pages as ‘Newsbriefs’. Everyday in America on an average 2,713 cases of rape take place but it doesn’t appear in the news, since it has become a way of life for the Americans.

2. Black sheep in every community:


I am aware that there are some Muslims who are dishonest, unreliable, who cheat, etc. but the media projects this as though only Muslims are involved in such activities. There are black sheep in every community. I know Muslims who are alcoholics and who can drink most of the non-Muslims under the table.


3. Muslims best as a whole:


Inspite of all the black sheep in the Muslim community, Muslims taken on the whole, yet form the best community in the world. We are the biggest community of tee-totallers as a whole, i.e. those who don’t imbibe alcohol. Collectively, we are a community which gives the maximum charity in the world. There is not a single person in the world who can even show a candle to the Muslims where modesty is concerned; where sobriety is concerned; where human values and ethics are concerned.

Most of these ideas have been created by the western media to back their interest. Zionism supported by the west created by force and blood a state for the Jewish. To create a state of nothing means you should kill, burn and through people out of their land and homes and stay in their place . This is what Israel was doing for years and until now.
Perhaps Iraq was liberated from a dictator but the cost was high. The Iraqis are suffering from occupation, and what is going in Iraq is not anymore liberation but torture, occupation and exploitation.
Most of the occupied people are Muslims and they are fighting to liberate their countries and homes..Islam is a peaceful heavenly religion and no religion calls for violence but all religions call for being true and fighting injustice and occupation.
Very strange why some westerners are so blind that they cannot see the children and women who are being killed everyday by the Israli and American soldiers but if one soldiers is killed then all the Muslim world are terrorists.

I am sorry you have this perception. Unfortunately I believe most of the stuff you hear are through the media choice of showing of a bunch of pissed-off people. You never see the peacefull side of any society... alll you see is what happend and who got caught, not that Suzy planted a tree with her parents over the weekend.

Muslims don't want to eradicate anyone. Personally I don't care what you are, just be, we all will have our judgment day.
Radical Muslims on the other hand take things to extremes. Jihad is the primary thing that have "hijacked" if you will. Jihad is the concept of fighting, but primarily between good and evil with in your self (staying away from sins and doing good). There is the Jihad of protecting one self and your community, but that's been over blown by radicals- who I believe have nothing better to do.

Dont judge Islam on the basis of what Muslims do .............. Islam NEVER promotes violence, as it is a Religion of Peace only. Infact, we have been told against the use-of-force in religion in the Holy Quran, so it is wholly one's own choice if to accept Islam or go elsewhere. Those extremists do NOT represent Islam 'coz they have been misguided by their leaders, as they are NO better than "White Supremist" or any such organization.
As for ur question, my answer is NO, Islam does not teach violence, and even if those extremists go back to The Holy Quran (Religious Scripture), they will come to know how they were being misguided and being used by their leaders, and even they too will become Peaceful. Peace to All.

muslims ARE peaceful people...

nowadays, especially in the west... the first word u hear after muslim is automatically terrorist... even if u dont hear it or say it out loud, it became implanted in westerners minds that when they meet a muslim, first thought would be to be careful... and wonder if this muslim would end up killing u or blowing up some building next door..
it really sux... but its true... atleast in many societies..
this became portrayed in people's minds becoz of some bad apples that called themselves muslims and went around killing innocent people and bombing around..but u shouldnt judge all muslims becoz of a few terrorists that refer to themselves as "muslims"...

jews are talked about in the Quran... and they are people of the book...
"erradicating the jewish community from the face of earth" would not be part of islam... killing innocent lives for no reason is not justified and they would face many consequences for their doings...

the real question is... how do the jews feel about the muslims?
lets see the answers u get for that! then u would know why some certain bad apples want to "erradicate the jewish community"....

No, it isn't taught in our religion. If anybody thinks bad about Islam, then let them! Some people go too far and start killing innocent people. That is wrong in our religion. Killing is a sin. The only time anybody in our religion kills someone is if they are in a war. In our religion, if somebody dies in the name of God (fighting for God, to protect their people) then they will automatically be promised a place in Heaven. And if the person is a bad person, even if they say they are fighting for God, they probably aren't and just believe they are. Islam teaches to be peaceful to everybody, and to be patient. It teaches that if anybody is sinful, then they get what they deserve in the end. Don't believe things terrorists do, believe things everyday, real Muslims do. Those are the true Muslims. The Muslim faith in general promotes peace among their own and among other religions and cultures. What you're witnessing now with terrorist attacks, etc are the rogue extremist that feel the only way to be heard is with violence.

The world stands up and takes notice when a suicide bomber blows up a cafe of languishing people just trying to enjoy their day.

Many in 3rd World countries grow up with this type of violence in their everyday news. Americans do not. It's not in our face all the time so we are not as desensitized as they may be. What may seem horrid to American may not be so bad someplace else in this world.

The spread of fundamentalist islam is at a pretty fast pace. Since the 1970s and the student revolts in Iran that oust the Shah, Islam has become a dangerous ideology, inherently antisemitic.

I will speak truthfully about Islam about how I view it, and my reading of it. Basically the fundamental sects of islam call for global sharia law, Which means we'd all be subject to islamic law rather then secular law. These sects adhere to the view that all people should be Muslims, or be subject to enslavement or death for non-belief.

No really you have a bad impression of Muslims, Muslims are not bad people. I agree there are some terrorist organizations but you can't blame religion for that! Really im Ukraine-christian country, and from lebanon- muslim-christian country. Really there is a question why should we like Jews WHY?
