If you've had your hair cut like this before, bring in some pictures! That way she'll have an example to go by to back up what you are telling her!
Trust me stylists like it when you bring in photos!!!

Honestly, the way you just said it sounds fine to me :) But also, it always helps if you bring in pictures (cut out from magazines, found online, etc..) of how you would like your hair to look. And remember that hair stylists are professional and have a good sense of what would work best with your eye color, skin tone, face shape, etc..

best of luck!

I have hair that is curly when it is long, wavy when it is shorter, and straight in some places when it is really short. I have had problems with haircuts my entire life. I finally found a hairdresser that takes the time to talk to me and figure out what my hair is doing. You need to find someone you are comfortable with, that is willing to spend a little bit of time helping you. Once you find that person keep going back to them.

I have the same problem. The best thing to do is bring in a picture. That always works for me.
