Cause disabled people tend to be really nice and show us the bright spot in our lives and they are so grateful for everything despite all the bad things that happen to them

Well, let's put the best possible face on it and say it's because you like being helpful. And then it is really true that there is a lot you can learn about coping with life from people with more to cope with than you have.

I had a friend with cerebral palsy when I was in college, and she had me teach her how to do needlepoint. We had a great time breaking down each part into the fine details, so she could figure a way to go around the limits she found as she tried to do it. By the time we were done, she was better at it than I was! That's because she had both patience and persistence. I'm learning, though. Now that I have "creaky joint syndrome" (I refuse the "A" word), I have to do a bit of "occupational therapy" myself.

I certainly hope you never make the mistake of doing things for your friends that they are able to do for themselves. You only tee them off when you do. Instead, OFFER to help, but wait until they say whether they want that help or not.

Most people have a natural need to be helpful. (This is a carryover from many thousand years ago, when ailing people in a tribe would reduce that tribe's chances for survival.)

Evidently, you feel a need to be needed. This is a wonderful quality and I'm sure you're making other people happy!

You really like them or you're a pompous ***? That's something to think about in the late night hours by your self, only you can answer that for you because only you know your true feelings.

Without knowing you personally, it's hard to say.

Some people might do this for a positive reason -- because you want to help them or whatever.

Others might do it for a negative reason -- they feel superior in some way to them, and like to hang out with them to "soak in" that perceived superiority.

Perhaps you are just a very very nice person or perhaps you are just wanting to take advanatge of the financially and be a manipulating *******. You are the only one that can answer that question. As stated in one of your older questions, you mentioned you are gay, perhaps you are sexually attracted to them and want to sexually take advantage of them? I dont know what your motive is but ou are the only one that can answer this question.

Perhaps there is less pressure to keep up with the Jones'. Or maybe you can identify with their physical difficulties because of your own social or mental difficulties.
