It's a beverage from an Asian market. If I boil some of my aloe plant at home, should I make a soup from it? Would it help? What would help besides drugs. It's just a bad cold.
Thankyou. Best answer gets a hero cookie.

Y s: Did you know that too much water can kill a person? Are you trying to kill me? Murder attempts don't get a hero cookie.

if it's just a bad cold then the age old rest and hot liquids work the best. You could try fresh fruits and veggies that have Vitamin C in them as well. Hope you feel better. Oh, and btw, it's STARVE a fever FEED a cold. Thank You.

In russia almost every person has Aloe Vera plant at home, i used its juice only for the wounds, but i just checked a russian website of homeopathy, and it says that Aloe Vera juice is a very good laxative, it is even recognized by the National Health Service of Germany. Aloe is good for stomach and bowel function, for bowel inflammation and for the burns and wounds that won't heal. It also says that Aloe Vera shall not be used by the pregnant women and for lengthy periods as it takes out the minerals from the body. It said nothing about using Aloe Vera against a bad cold. I think it will not help you.
Did you try inhalations? When i am sick i do inhalations with tea tree or eucalyptus oil and it helps because those are good antiseptics. If you are coughing try to gargle with apple vinegar, it helps so well. Good luck recovering :)

I'd advise you to skip the juice. Take OTC meds for the symptoms, Tylenol for pain and fever, increase fluids, get rest, eat well, practice good hand hygiene and wait it out. The virus is self-limited. That means it has a finite life span. It will run its course in about 7-10 days.

It's great for your stomach, but I don't know if it will help a cold. Shouldn't hurt, though.
