It has been brought to my attention that there is a Muslim law against this behavior.

What is the penalty after the messenger is ignored?

Lakota Bob,
I wasn't judging for one; I was asking a question due to a response I got.

Two; I can judge better than you can. But I left out the judgement so that I could ask a decent question. So blow it out your butt. lol

As far as I know,
Man has a freedom of faith in Islam, their is christian and jewish people in almost or maybe in all islamic countries as example.
However, if man associate anyone with God in this life, his life becomes not easy. And if man believes in one God, God makes his life better.
48. Allah forgiveth not that partners should be set up with Him; but He forgiveth anything else, to whom He pleaseth; to set up partners with Allah is to devise a sin Most heinous indeed.
From Chapter of Women.
21. What! Do those who seek after evil ways think that We shall hold them equal with those who believe and do righteous deeds,- that equal will be their life and their death? Ill is the judgment that they make.
From Chapter of Crouching
And Allah knows better.
Thank You.

The sin u r refering to is 'Shirk' in Arabic. There is No worldly penalty for this behaviour. But, it is the Greatest Sin of all, and the only sin that GOD has informed us of that HE Will Never Forgive, even if a person repents it his whole life (exception in the case, if a person has committed this sin before coming to Islam, in which case after entering Islam, all of his previous sins are washed-off, and the person starts off with a clean slate, as on the day he was born). So, the penalty for it, is Not in this world, but the HereAfter and it is Eternal Damnation in Hell.

Polygamy (associating ANY partners with God/Allah) is one of the biggest sins a Muslim can commit, if not THE biggest. if the message is ignored, the punishment, im not sure exactly, but is most likely a very very long time in hell and punishment in the grave until the Day of Judgement

I really Appreciate ur Intreast in Islam and may God Guide u... my friend.. IN Islam... the punishment for those who associate false Gods and the creations of God with God... for them will be the everlasting torment and this is indeed the worse of sins.. Allah says in the Quraan that he if he will may forgive any other sin but he will never forgive the one who accociated false Gods with him or sets up rivals to him.. SO my friend realize the truth which is ... "There is No God buT God, And Muhammad(pbuh) is The Final Messenger of God.

It is considered by most religious scholars as the only unforgivable sin. This is not shariah law though. No punishment can be excersied by any person or institution. This is between you and GOD.

on earth nothing, only if you realize wat your doing is wrong after death HARD TIME IN HELL and let me add this hell is not played around for god said when he created heaven and hell he was joking around hell is not like any earthly hell its baaad to an extent of which is unbelieveablely unfathomable but in our religion Islam hell is temporary for everyone after every one does their share and everyone is in heaven god will destroy hell and all souls will live happily in heaven for eternity it makes no sense to be in hell forever god is not that mean especially if he came down and died for your sins in Christianic belief eternity in hell makes no sense.
