I'm in high school, and so far, all we've learned about is how to not have sex. I haven't learned anything about sex. We haven't learned about protection (other than "it's not as safe as abstinence"). All we've learned about is being abstinent and how dangerous STD's are. What about us that want to have sex? You're just making it unsafe, since we're not educated about it.
What about you? How long ago were you in high school? This is mainly focused on the U.S. schools that were built on puritan beliefs.

I'm not saying I want to learn about it, I'm just wondering why the schools are such crap.

well in my School in 7th grade back in the 80's we had banana's we got to put condoms on to make sure we did it right and we had all the myths and truths and proper names for genitalia. We also had where we wrote questions about sex down put them in a bowl and the teacher pulled them out and read them to the class and answered them so no one was embarrassed for asking. Like if it hurts and etc. etc. etc.

When i was in highschool, about 10 yrs ago, They said this is what it is, this is how you keep yourself clean, this is how you protect yourself from std's, this is how you protect yourself from pregnancy, these are your birth control options, this is how you use a condom, this is what the std's do, and this is how puberty goes. They were very thorough as far as i remember and i don't remember them teaching abstinance per se but they did tell you what you needed to know to make an informed decision. I think if they are only telling you to not have sex then they are making fools of themselves and setting themselves up for teenage pregnancy and all that goes with it (i'm not slamming teenage pregnancy i was one of those even tho i knew everything they taught me) and you can tell that people don't know what they should when kids are asking "can i get pg if this happens but not intercourse?" and things like that. We need to push the schools to EDUCATE about sex and then say abstinence and not just say don't have sex.

Well sex-ed in high school isn't about learning how to have sex, it really is mostly about avoiding STDs and unwanted pregnancy. A big part of that is obviously abstinence, since that's the most effective way of avoiding STDs and unwanted pregnancy. And of course, another important part of that is to educate regarding the risks of STDs. This is not to say other birth control and disease avoidance methods shouldn't be brought up, of course.
As to my particular experience, we learned about abstinence, STDs, the biology of sex, and various birth control methods. We had to have parental approval to attend the class (it was a unit of a required health class). This was 15 years ago. Man, I'm getting old!

i think of the muse of your theory has benefit, besides the undeniable fact which you would be no longer person-friendly pressed into getting people to attend. A brochure whilst procuring a canine the two on the vets or with a puppy save could take transport of out, outlining the expenses in touch in breeding a splash of doggies, and a few great reward of desexing could suffice. the unlucky situation is that individuals will nevertheless breed from their damaging animals no rely what, via fact they think of it relatively is a competent thank you to earn some money, and as you pronounced, who can withstand doggies? in my opinion, i think of a thank you to wrestle lots of the outdoor breeding is to end the sale of canine and cats in puppy shops (they try to hold it in as law in New South Wales) and with a bit of luck people will tire of attempting to sell doggies and kittens by newspapers, because it is not as person-friendly as what it may well be basically handing them over to a puppy save for $50 - $a hundred slightly.

How about you accept the education and respect the consequences. You do not need to be taught how "to do sex".
