I live in Florida, I have this thing called sun fungus. Its caused from prolonged exposure to the sun and moisture (100% humidity in 100 degree weather). I have tried anti-fungal creams from the dermatologist and nothing is working. Fiortunately it just looks like I got a sunburn and I am peeling. But, its starting to spread on my arms and neck. Any ideas?

Does it look like white freckles? That is a fungus called tineaversicolor and you can wash with Dandruff Shampoo to help keep it under control. You have to keep using it during the hot months.

I'm 20 now, and almost all my acne is gone; but two to four years earlier I had it pretty bad. The only thing you can do is change your eating habits and your hygiene. Drink alot of water, min 2 litres a day, fill a bottle in the morning, so you make sure you drink that up before end of day. Also, keep away from too fatty foods. Some people also develop acne because of particular foods. For example, my acne got worse if I ate more cheese related products. So you'll either have to experiment with that, or see a skin specialist. Also important, from now on, never ever touch your face before washing your hands. That's a major factor. For example, don't sit in class with you head in the palm of your hand. And last wash your face every morning and evening, Without soap, just clean water. Most of the acne products damage your face, so better not buy those, instead buy a skin cleaning and caring creme of some sort if you have to. Good Luck!

Wanted to be more specific on the dandruff shampo. i think it's only Selsun Blue that has the right anti-fungal in it. Try and leave it on the areas overnight, or on you for at least 5 minutes when you're in the shower.

I have the same thing and Selsun Blue works. Ketoconazole is by prescription mainly, and you can't drink alcohol when you take it.

I had this (and still do). it is something that will not go away easily. I found that swimming in pools with lots of chlorine dissolved in it helps. It is very much similar to a yeast infection, only affecting the surface layers of your skin.
