As in to ask them for a date, or to get to know them? Like, if I see you at Starbucks looking at me, and I come over and say, "hi", what's your gut reaction? Should more ladies approach men in public? Would you be polite in rejecting her, or act like an @ss?

Hello Bitter,

Guys love that when a girl makes the first move. And, the thing is, that girls can get away with it better than a guy can. There is so much crap with always having to be the person to make the first contact.

The thing is too, if the girl isn't just not interested, it's like you are molesting them or something. If you make the first move, you are making it very easy for them to say yes.

If they're involved with someone else, they will gladly tell you, but they will be so impressed and their ego will be so uplifted that they will always let you down easily. Happy hunting.

Yeah, some women are intimidated. Some may be scared of rejection or something else. But mostly, women assume that it's the man's job to make the first move and approach them rather than the other way around. I don't agree with it, but that's society now a days.

Do you really have to ask?

Look at the answers. Ladies have no idea how hard it is for a guy to get rejected over and over.

Thats why guys become either immune to it and a player or just give up and dont try anymore.

A mature or clean cut dude will NOT embarrass you if he cant date you. He might even still give out his number just in case.

Approaching us and starting up conversation is always appreciated, as this is for men the hardest part of meeting women.
While you talk to us just show that you are interested in seeing more of us and we will do the asking for a date.
Some men think they might like a girl asking them out, but it does put us in an awkward position if we do not find the girl attractive. Most women are better suited emotionally to deal with rejecting advances than men are.

I would love it if a woman approach once in a while, it a change men are sometimes rejected and never try again, trust me I am one of them, if a guy refuse to know you he is a fool and he just miss a good friend or lover.

Darn right. My gut reaction is wow this girl is confident and Perseus what she likes/wants.
If i wasn't interested I would be very polite to her. She has summed up the courage to ask so why be an ***?

Whoever is attracted to the other first. Women can be equally bold, if not more, than men. As if I prefer it or not, I don't really care as long as an attraction is there. That's what it comes down to anyways.
