I've properly fallen for my mates ex-gf. I've known her for about 6years and have always been really good friends with her and we always flirt, laugh and take the mick out of each other. Should I try and 'test' the water to see if she wants more or would it just cause harm to our friendship? Thanks

She's been with my mate for 4 of those years. 'Taking the mick' means like joking around taking the piss light-heartedly. kind of thing

Probably f*ck things up
Easier to be freinds with someone,
once the relationship changes then the chances are that you both will change slightly and also what you want from each other will change,
it will complicate things with your mate also,
the choice is yours, but too close to home for my comfort

Well.. why not try talking to her? maybe she also likes you? Then if you think and feel there's a chance of you being together, then test the water.. but if she told you that she only whats friendship then respect her, coz you might ruin your friendship.

There is always the possibilty of messing up a friendship when doing that. But, hey, you will never know how things may have worked out if you never tried. Good luck!!

you forget to mention one important factor here..your friend?! have you considered his feelings?! if i were you i'd ask him first before you do anything! if friendship is important to you then i'd only act upon it if your friend was ok with it.
As for the girl, see what kind of signals you are getting from her. You can get alot without words, so try and find out that way before asking her and potentially creating tension.

Ask her if there's any hope for taking the relationship to the next level.
