Matt 24:15"Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand),
Mark 13:14"So when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not" (let the reader understand),
Luke 21:20"But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near.
An abomination in the Old Testament was related to the desecrating of worship, either by outright false worship (Deut 7:25; 27:15) or by a profanation of true worship (Lev 7:18; Deut 17:1). The abomination of desolation is a Hebrew term, and this is expected because Matthew's audience was Jewish. Writing to the Gentiles, Luke explains that it refers to when the (Roman) armies surround Jerusalem (70AD). This may also be referring to the great number of murders and crimes within the temple during this time by the Zealots and/or the Idumeans, the pagan sacrifices performed in the temple by the Romans, the Gentile Romans entering the temple itself, or the continuing sacrifices done by the Jews for forgiveness in the temple after Christ already paid for sin.
Daniel 12:9 He said, "Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and sealed up until the end time.
"Many will be purged, purified and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand. "From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.
From the works of Josephus (Jewish historian who lived during the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans)
Ant 10:11:7 "In the very same manner Daniel also wrote concerning the Roman government, and that our country should be made desolate by them."
Wars 4:5 "the outer Temple was all of it overflowed with blood; and that day, as it came on, saw eight thousand five hundred dead bodies there"
Wars 5:1:2-3 "the Temple was defiled everywhere with murders...the Zealots went over all the buildings, and the Temple itself, and fell upon the priests, and those that were about the sacred offices"
Wars 5:12:1-3 "And now did Titus consult with his commanders what was to be done. Those that were of the warmest tempers, thought he should bring the whole army against the city and storm the wall; for that hitherto no more than a part of their army had fought with the Jews; but that in case the entire army was to come at once.... that therefore his opinion was, that if they aimed at quickness joined with security, they must build a wall round about the whole city; which was, he thought, the only way to prevent the Jews from coming out any way, and that then they would either entirely despair of saving the city, and so would surrender it up to him, or be still the more easily conquered when the famine had farther weakened them....these arguments prevailed with the commanders....while Caesar himself took notice of and rewarded the like contention in those commanders; for he went round about the works many times every day, and took a view of what was done....so all hope of escaping was now cut off from the Jews, together with the liberty of going out of the city.

The abomination of desolation begins when the Antichrist ascends to the Holy of Holies in the Third Temple which will be built during the Tribulation period and attempt to proclaim himself to be God. This will lead to an opening of people's eyes, realizing they've been tricked by his smooth talking ways and seemingly easy answers for the world's problems. Remember the Scripture that says, "Who is like the Beast? And who is able to make war with him?" This is the "desolation" part. The Antichrist will sever all peacekeeping ties to the world and precipitate the events leading up to the final battle at Armageddon.

Question: "What is the abomination of desolation?"
Answer: Matthew 24:15, “So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation,' spoken of through the prophet Daniel - let the reader understand.” This Scripture is referring to Daniel 9:27, “He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing [of the temple] he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.” In 167 B.C. a Greek ruler by the name of Antiochus Epiphanies set up an altar to Zeus over the altar of burnt offerings in the Jewish temple in Jerusalem. He also sacrificed an pig on the altar in the Temple in Jerusalem. This event is known as the “abomination of desolation.

The abomination of desolation is an act that will be performed by the Anti-Christ. During the middle of his temporary reign he will go into the temple and demand to be worshipped as God. It is found in Daniel 9 i believe (where it refers to the 70 weeks). At that point it will be quite chaotic and at that time those who do not worship the anti-Christ will suffer great persecution. It will be a time where hopefully many will come to Repentance though they will suffer as 'end time saints' who will endure great persecution. Hope that helps...

You equivocate on your use of the term "Evolution". interior the 1st element of your question you utilize the term too recommend Darwinian Evolution, then interior the latter section you recommend that the adjustments incurred via a pandemic are a similar ingredient. Do you no longer see the fallacy on your question?
