Are all Islamic suicide bombers brainwashed?

Can someone be a religious suicide bomber and not be brainwashed? This is a serious question, lets think first before answering.

Islamic Suicide bombers are almost always very young. They are raised under a strict Islamic religious code and deprived of most of the things non-muslims worlwide are allowed. They go through the hormone-explosion of puberty without any normal outlet permitted to them.

These powder kegs of bottled hormones have been raised with a singular religious contempt for the kafir and a promise of certain paradise only through murder for Allah (Surah 4 in the Quran). Many interviews have been recorded (PBS has some fantastic footage) of Islamic suicide bomber recruiters who gladly devulge their methodology.

The recruiter says "when you press the button, you will feel nothing cause its instant, not time for body to send pain signals to the brain, and then you will be in paradise".

Brainwashing = Depravation, seculsion from other views, absolutes.

they are brainwashed merely by their way of life. you make a fantastic point, and i would not blame them for wanting something different, or serving the only things they know- religeon and family. in that way, they are indeed brainwashed, though the argument could be made that no they arent, because there is nothing to wash.

True followers of Islam know that the taking of one innocent life is like the killing of all humanity. There is no Paradise for those who commit suicide and take the lives of innocents with them...

Your bigger question is what causes young men to become brainwashed... The answer is a complex one which has more to do with colonial oppression, puppet governments, unemployment, disillusionment, and many other reasons - the least of these, perhaps, is hormonal...

There have been plenty of Muslims world wide - for many generations - who have not resorted to suicide bombing but still abstained from immorality as young adults...

Not only Islamic suicide bombers are normally brainwashed. Any organization formed to work against any established belief or institution extensively orient, train and brainwash a would be warrior. They undergo initiation and conditioning of mind and normally, it is easier to recruit idealistic young, restless and rebellious mind for the the purpose of destroying an established belief.
Aside from successful brainwashing they now are also induced with drugs that will not alter any of their rational thinking and that creates an emotionless killing machine.

I think that it is the lust of obtaining political power by the Islamic religious leaders as they believe that their religion is their politics. They use their followers by educating them, in a way, that the followers believe in carrying out their orders as divine will. The unfortunate thing is that welfare and civic values of Islam are neglected in the teachings and only confronting attitudes are given importance. In this way, they do politics on the dead bodies of their followers but for their own self, they do not practice what they teach the others to do (suicide bombing). In this way they are motivated or brainwashed, if you may like to call it.

This raises a serious issue as well, that instead of going after the suicide bombers, their mastermind should be taken care of.

You spread out a good case. You forgot to add in how they are brain washed into the reasons of why they feel the targets are their enemies. I mean they feel that Israel doesn't have a right to exist and that their land was stolen when it actually wasn't. In 1948 before the first war Israel was just a bunch of small non-connected cities. Then all the surrounding countries attacked Israel and the boarders changed.

Also you forgot to say that the terrorist who recruit the suicide bombers give the families of the bombers money, and how they are living in poverty.

"Brainwashed= Depravation, seculsion from other views, absolutes". You can believe in just one view, in absolutes, without being brainwashed. Brainwashed implies that someone forced it on you. If they were raised to believe in suicide bombing, then their opinions haven't even been changed. If they were offered a choice, then they weren't brainwashed either. They simply decided to agree with the people offering the choice. I'm not saying they're right obviously. But I highly doubt they were all brainwashed. I think many of them made the decision themselves after careful consideration, based on the culture they were brought up in. Saying they were brainwashed absolves them of all responsibility for their actions, it's saying they were forced.

Suicide is haraam or prohibited in Islam. So is killing the innocent on any side. Killing in Jihad is only allowed when four conditions are met: 1. The enemy has to be male; 2, the enemy has to be armed; 3. The enemy has to be on your land or moving towards it for sure; 4. The enemy or the group he associates with has committed aggression by killing your people or seriously intends to kill them. If all four conditions are met then it is REQUIRED to do your best to kill the enemy before he causes any more damage. Fighting such an enemy is the sure pass to paradise, as you are not only saving the lives of your side which did not commit aggression, but saving the enemy from evil of killing the innocent persons.

Suicide bombing however does not come in this category. First many of the suicide bombers kill the innocent and kill arbitrarily without meeting the four criteria. When the four criteria are not met it could be ruled as murder. Quran 5:32 says "Killing one innocent person is tantamount to killing all of humanity. Saving one innocent person is saving all humanity". The concept is based on the murder of Abel by Cain, in the process killing all the generations of Abel, which would be millions of people.

However, had Abel been attacking Cain, then the crime of killing Abel would be on Abel's head, as Abel was asking for it, if he was attacking Cain to kill hiim.

Please know that those who distort Islam are committing a grave sin in our faith. Those who kill the innocent on any side deliberately fall under the Quranic edict which says those who murder ONE INNOCENT (remember Abel was way before ISLAM taught by our Prophet was common), one has killed all of humanity!

Yes, you can brainwash young people to act even against the Quran. 911 committed four crimes against the Quran too.

The attackers killed innocent people, the attackers stole property of those who did not have any role in attacking them, they destroyed property and they killed themselves. All four are major violations of the Laws of Islam.

It is as if McVeigh pretending to be a loyal American citizen killing the innocent in the name of protecting America. NO difference.

You can brainwash any nut who is ignorant. I wonder who is going to get the harsher punishment? The suicide bombers or their handlers, when it is time for Allah to decide.

Islam totally forbids the terrorist acts that are carried out by some misguided people.
