The density of aluminum is 2.7 g/mL, which means the metal will sink in water, but is still relatively light.

According to the CRC handbook it has a density of 2.7 relative to water which means it's 2700 kg/m^3 (since water is 1.00 and is 1000kg/m^3) which is the same as 2.7 g/cc.
