and if you are not useing XP, then you can most likely get the driver off Sonys website. Or just google for the driver.

Not necessarily. Windows XP (assuming that's the operating system you're using) will recognise the camera when you connect it to your PC and mount it as 'removable drive', off of which you can copy or move the photos to your hard drive.

not if you get a mac. or, you can probably find the drivers on the manufacturers website and download them. they're usually free.
