about the same. I would imagine, although I cannot answer for the specifics. We deal with deployments, training, and messed up paperwork, just like the Air Force spouses. We have decent housing, crappy housing and nice housing. we have family friendly commands and commands that adhere to the Mantra: If the military wanted you to have a family, you would have been issued one."

there are those that insists that the AF treats their people better.. I say hogwash.. they don't treat 'em any better or worse than any other branch of the military. same bennies, same base pay, same BAH as any other paygrade.

In the Navy you will probably travel on ships unless your job does not go on ships.... and if this is the case then you will not advance very fast... but you will still advance faster than people in the Air Force...

In the Air Force you will be stationed at one place for several years, or even for your whole career after your training... In the Navy you will be transferred about every 3 to 6 years or less if you are on a ship.

If you have a Bachelor's degree you might be able to go into either one as an officer instead of enlisted and you will make a LOT more money.

Navy bases are lousy compared to Air Force bases when you consider the barracks and the facilities... the Air Force has better food and better facilities.

Oh... I'm retired Navy and I spent a LOT of time on Air Force bases because I worked on aircraft.

what's it matter? all the troops are fighting to protect the american freedoms... but personally speaking, i think the navy is the best! we've beat the army and airforce college teams for the last few years, and probably will again this year...

and we also go in before the airforce does, the marines the clear out the area and the seabees make a landing area for the airforce... but if the navy wants to leave, we just pack up and go... because our pilots can land on ships... something no AF pilot can do

If you join the Navy Seabees, that's a whole different story. They are basically soldiers and rarely go on ship. My friends dad was a seabee for 16 years and he NEVER got on a ship.

They deploy all over the world and they do go to Iraq. Air Force i don't know much, but i heard they are like civilians with uniforms. If u want the easy way, go AF.

The Navy is real military; the Air Force is a club. However, if you want a great military experience, join the Marines.
