Yes. Amazingly, the best way to remove red wine stains from fabrics such as carpets etc is to apply white wine to the stained area. The red stain will disappear after applying the plonk, then you rub the affected area with a wet cloth and detergent.

Tip some WHITE wine on top, but it has to be done immediately. I've had red wine spilt on my carpet, I threw white wine on it and there is no stain at all. Be brave and go for it!

I've heard that pouring white wine on top will help, but if I've already spilt one glass, I'll be damned if I'm going to waste another by chucking some more on the floor!

salt and white wine are meant to work, just make sure it doesn't dry out, as it will set the stain in the carpet and be really hard to get out

saw on tv if u spill red wine on carpet pour white wine on it dont know if it was for real or a joke. prob best to stick to vanish or some other kind of cleaner.

Buy a brill spray called Oxi Clean it`s a laundry cleaner really but i got Ribena out of a cream carpet with it! Follow the instructions tho!

easy one,try using white wine as this nuetrilizes the red wine and has been used for decades by hotels and pubs
also use a vanish spray avalible from any hardware stores

You can pour white wine on blot stain with kichen cloth/paper DON'T RUB it'll only make it worse and will never come out, also look up web for stain removal.
