Ratzinger is an orthodox Jew. He is also a very strong and powerful catholic. Don't ask stupid questions like that.

Ratzinger is an orthodox Jew? I find that comment much stranger than the idea that he's a closeted homosexual... After all, there have been plenty of closeted homosexual popes over the years.
As per his vindictive attitude, I think you'll find being vindictive to be part of the job description...

He's not a homosexual, nor does he hate himself, nor does he have a vindictive attitude toward gays.
This Pope holds the same belief toward gays that every other Pope has held -- that they are human beings who are deserving of dignity and respect, even if their sexual behavior is morally illicit.
This also goes for those who commit adultery, fornication, and what have you. All of us are sinners, after all. Including the Pope.

The Catholic Church believes there is nothing sinful about being homosexual. But homosexuals like all unmarried people are called to celibacy.
The Church specifically says that homosexuals "must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided."
With love in Christ.

Yes, anyone who spends time critiquing gays is actually a closeted gay.
Anyone who spends time criticizing religious people is secretly feeling guilt that they are not religious.
Anyone who criticizes George Bush or Hillary Clinton is secretly a supporter of them.

No, or at least that isn't the conclusion I came up with. Rather he is a catholic, and the catholic religion as a whole is extremely conservative. They are anti-gay all around. So his being anti gay has more to do with his being the "good catholic" than being gay himself.

I don't know nor do I care. His existence means nothing to me. He has no authority over me or influence. He's a man with his own bent and opinions.

No, he is a sensible man who wants to get child molesting gay priests out of the priesthood. It would be nice for the kids to be safe with the priests for a change.
