This is exactly what happened. Read the story for yourself and see just how far down the slippery slope we have gone with this one. Disrespecting life at any stage leads to continuely more blatant violations of ethics.

I am not a fundamentalist in any way shape or form. For me this is a basic civil rights and humanitarian issue. And from a fundamental perspective they believe all are sinful including themselves so this would not be a big shock to them. It is just the world being the world.

zippychippy, i am not complaining but standing up for those who have little to no power. My motivation stems from caring for others than just myself. Maybe this is because I chose to listen to the moral compass within me.

slaughterenos, that is not correct and is propaganda used to keep an abhorrent practiced in use. Do you think less people or more people would use crack if legal? Though there will always be those who smoke crack a law that is enforced against it curbs its use. The same is true with abortion. Not all abortions would stop but probably around 90 percent or more would. In case you are wondering that equals well over a million souls a year. Hitler has nothing on what America has done in the name of Freedom. On the books well over 50 million has been murdered since 1973. A Stalin once said the death of a person is a tragedy but the death of a million is a statistic. Can you grasp the immensity of what has happened? Do you even care. I hope if the majority of your fragmented self does not, that the part of you that has love, will soon become the dominant self.

poisoneva, you did not read very carefully. It was not dead to begin with before the 'disposed' of it. Maybe in the next life you will come back as a child to be 'disposed' of. Maybe then through the pain this karma you finally understand and have compassion on those weaker than yourself.

Julia Encarn... You are so right if it was alive after the abortion attempt how much more was it still alive before the attempt.

dingydarla, I believe God calls us to make the kingdom of God here on this earth and not wait for some unknown future event. Living in the present is an important spiritual concept.

Theophane, even before Roe Vs. Wade rape and life risking health issues were an exception. And besides less than 5 percent of all abortion as due to these factors anyway. There is a reasonable balance point that can be found. It does not have to be all or nothing.

I agree with your last sentence entirely.
This story also tells us the folly of pro-abortion people telling us that unborn babies are not really human.
After all, if this baby is a human being after surviving an abortion attempt, why wouldn't he/she have been a human being just BEFORE the abortion attempt?

This does suck... really it does... but I am still pro-choice...
I'm sorry... but I could never tell twelve or thirteen-year-old girls whose fathers/stepfathers raped them repeatedly, are pregnant, and want to terminate the pregnancy, that having an abortion is wrong. I could not look the child in the eyes and tell her she should keep the baby because it is "a gift from God". Can't do it, won't do it, no.. I'm pro-choice...
Nor could I tell a fourteen/fifteen year-old girl who was walking home from school, taken into the backyard of a house against her will, gang-raped... and is now pregnant and wishes to terminate the pregnancy that abortion is wrong and that her baby was "a gift from God".
The world is not black and white... there are shades of gray. And you will never know the fear, the guilt, or pain a woman (or girl) endures when she makes the decision to terminate her pregnancy... or you would not be so quick to judge.
I know that there are people who terminate pregnancies because they didn't bother with birth control or whatever... but would you take away the decision of a woman who has a valid reason for an abortion like incest/rape/health-reasons/etc. because some women abuse the system?
I just don't think that is right....

wrong link...
I think that's what an abortion is, though. In any case, abortions cannot be done ethically after 5 months, I think. The baby is still considered a fetus until after the thrid trimester (6 months on... )

No. The first thing people need to do is act responsibily. Use birth control if you do not want to end up with a child. If you don't have any birth control, don't get into bed. If you get into a bed and get pregnant, no matter what the child looks like or how the child turns out, it is your responsibility.

Yea wait til it grows up and send it to Iraq to die in the desert to protect the oil supply that is poluteing the earth so babys that do live can choke to death.
Or go to Iraq and drop bombs. that is to a baby killer.
How many people babies included are dieing in the middle east right now. You haven't done any baby a favor to be born into this wicked world. Probably better off being stuffed in a bag.
If its mother didn't want it any more than that.

I clicked your address that you left, and it had nothing to do with botched abortions and/or living babies being thrown in bags. It was about that minister's wife who shot him. Said she got out on bail, I disagree with that ruling, but it had nothing to do with what you said.

Humans have self centered natures and it's not surprizing but it is disappointing that humans have tendencies to be cruel. Now what to do? I believe personally that we should love one another. It's not hard to do. It's what Jesus told us to do.
