Sadly there seems to no longer be a "mother" figure within Christianity. Being strictly a Patriarchial religion it tends to focus more on how males are superior in every way to females... thus lowering women in the eyes of God. I'm actually surprised a woman is entitled to a spot in Heaven if they are deemed so low!
If a woman did something "miraculous" it would be seen as something God has permitted to happen and patted like a small child showing the parental unit a finger painting. Yet if a man does the same thing, it is "holy" and a "gift of God" and recorded in the archives.
Honestly, I have nothing against God or the Christian faith (which appears to have something to it or it would not be the top religion of the world)... it's God's followers that I have problems with.

Well, God and the Trinity are not exactly like humans in the reproductive manner. However, the Holy Spirit is the female-most like of the three, but the son is the mother of the spirit. In people this would not be possible. But the trinity is not people it is God. God is both mother and father and son. The trinity is really difficult to comprehend, but given eternity, you'll probably get to meet them all and by then you will get it.

No America worships the God of Commerce. What is known as Christianity is really an extension of Pharisaism with a Jesus wash. In actuality just another Religion of the Law like the one it was supposed to fulfill. The Europeans and all the peoples forced into the Roman Empire's understanding were not fulfilled they were diminished. They had a larger understanding of God before they were made into Christians. The Native American's collision with European Christianity is recent enough for us to know far more about the fulfillment of God than the peoples who brought 'Christianity' to us. This Edition of Christianity practiced around the world today gives every evidence of its Human limitations and the cultural ignorance of their source. Christianity is not a Religion of the law and waiting. Christianity is a Religion of the Spirit and Fulfillment Now.

The New testament refers to the Holy Spirit in several areas as Wisdom. The words are interchangeable.
The New Testament was also translated from the Greek whereas the Old testament from Hebrew. The greek language uses he and she interchangeably as well whereas the Hebrew language does not.Therfore everywhere the New testamant says he it could well be she and vise versa. The "scholars" that translated our bible into English were all males.
In the book of Proverbs (Old testament) over and over it speaks of Wisdom and she is female. Seek HER for SHE is more valuable than pearls. etc
Therefore the female aspect (or mother part of) God is the Holy Spirit.
This fact is not taught in the male dominated churches because men have since the begininng of time wanted to dominate, control and own women. It is part of the curse on women brought down on us from Eve.
Even though Jesus came and became a curse for us thus leaving us free of this curse and now restored as equal to men (As Eve was to Adam before the fall) man didn't like that part of the new covenant and so still tried to supress women and the fact that God has a feminine aspect to His wholeness. To God there is no male and female. YES the New testament says that too fellas.
The bible is FULL of hidden treasures. We just need to seek God with all of our hearts and He will show us in His word where the answers to our questions are.

If god is the father, and the son is the holy spirit, then the physical form which hold the spirit should be considered the mother. without the physical form one can not do anything in this material world. without ur mother u would not have been what u are today. repect the feminine. love nature. live happily

God IS the father, IS the son, IS the holy spirit. In Catholic religion Mary is the Queen of Heaven, of course in the bible Mary is nothing but a a virgin woman who obeyed God and gave birth to the Messiah she is only human she can never be the Queen of Heaven, catholics just made that up.

If God mentions a Father He knows all about what is "Mother."
God is a marriage of Divine Love and Divine Wisdom and this marriage of two things creates a resultant action on the universe.

A very good question, and while peope seem to have forgotten her, the Mother is very much alive and with us. I think that humanity has lost a very key piece of itself, when it turns away from the divine feminine. If there is really duality in the world, male and female, yin and yang....earth and sky....then a crucial part of the balance of the universe is being left out.
She is being left out because for thousands of years, men have feared her.If would be so much easier to rule the world if women are taught that they are weak, meek and ultimately submissive to men.
We have not really forgotten our Mother though. She lives in all of us, in the life we create and the life we give.

i4u_001,
The mother was Mary, blessed amongst women. Other than that, she needed to believe just like the rest of us; being a sinner.
Some of the names of God in the Old Testament refer to God as maternal, El Shaddi has a meaning conveying God's nature to provide, "the Many Breasted One."
Other than that, there is no "Mother" of heaven. That's Roman Catholic heresy.

Your are not supposed to apply rational thought processes to any religious story. Those who believe (the gullible ones) just accept it.
Once you realize that religion and the gods were made by man, you will be able to exercise unfettered thought. It all started with the primitive man being afraid of lightning and thunder.
God is supposed to be omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient. That rules out that god could be a human being. So, is it an alien monster?
