A woman is born with all of the eggs she is ever going to have!

A man on the other hand only starts producing sperm from puberty, but he can produce an infinite number!

So I say EGG!

there's no way to figure that out.
You could say that the egg came first waiting for the sperm to find it or to be made... Or you could say that the sperm swam around aimlessly until it happened to bump into the egg or for the egg to be made. If either of the statements are true then that would mean that they were both here at the same time they were just waiting until the chance meeting.

Well, I am going with the sperm.

Since I adhere to the bible, Adam was made before Eve so I would say logically that would make the sperm first.

However, When God put Adam to sleep to give him Eve from his rib, God may have given Adam the penis then instead of before that.

Maybe they feel it was not a question for this category.

None of this is Dogmatic just logic!

Asssuming that we are beginning with both a male & female mammal, the egg came first. Eggs are present at birth of a female, while sperm is produced later in the life of a male.

In higher animals, ova are produced by female gonads (sexual glands) called ovaries and all of them are present at birth in mammals, and mature via oogenesis.

Spermatozoa are produced in the seminiferous tubules of the testes in a process called spermatogenesis

Since God created Adam and Eve male and female and Adam was created before Eve with everything he needed I would have to say sperm.

Adam came before Eve; so I guess the sperm would have came first.

It was meiosis and mitosis..

And another thing...What is the point of sperm when you don't have the correct chromosome to make another man. Sperm was pointless....They came at the same time. Nature needs to be balanced.

It's a great question and it obviously threatened someone. I have wondered the same thing, two simple life forms deciding "I think I'll grow a penis, and maybe you could grow a vagina and we can..." "great idea, I'll see you in a few million years and we can compare reproductive development.
