i am a 25 year old male, and while on vacation recently, i was hit on by a 16 year old girl. i chose to do nothing, but i wonder, would it have been wrong to hook up with her?

At 25, you should realize that in some states "hooking up" with a 16-year-old is called statutory rape and is punishable. You did the right thing. She's a girl who needs to live in a world in which the adults do not take advantage of her youth. Remember: when we are young, we often want things we will not want later in life. The same goes for desire and passion. The boys/men I liked at 16 are not the ones I want now at 40. And there are many things I did as a teenager that I regret today. Leave the teenagers alone. It's hard enough growing up without having a lot of regrets and "if onlys" to drag around through life. Also, remember that though you may have felt a strong sexual desire for this girl, you more than likely would have later regretted your actions.

Why are you second-guessing yourself? You did the right thing in saying no to her. She is much too young for you, and most likely she was jail-bait. Hey enjoy the fantasy of having her, but on the fantasy. Move on and let it go. There are many more women out there (legal) and I'm sure you will find someone else more appropriate match for you very soon. Good luck.

Well, when I was that age, I dated older men, and didnt have a problem with it, neither did they. However, looking back on it now, I'd say its not a good idea. While girls mature way earlier than guys, she is still just 16, and would probably have limited things is common. Now if you were just wanting sex, then its WAY wrong, keep them over 18, keep it legal buddy!

hoking up would be wrong/right depending on your moral code of conduct. meaning that society says that age 16 is the age of consent but is this what u agree with? if it is then it may have been right however at age 16 girls are sometimes immature and not serious about life so that wrong have made it wrong.

Why don't you call up the local sheriff and ask him or her? I'm sure you'll get the answer.
You already know it was wrong and illegal, otherwise you would have taken her up on her advances. Stick with your initial gut reaction. It's seemingly keeping you out of trouble thus far.
