The "date of the world" (by which I assume you mean the current calendar system we use), was not created by Jesus. It was created by someone who felt Jesus was important enough to use as the beginning of a new era of time-keeping. And atheists do not "believe Jesus never existed". They simply do not believe he was a divine being. You need to educate yourself a little.

I have never heard an Atheist say Jesus never existed, that's stupid, history records that he did, and that he must have been a remarkable man. Atheists do not believe in God. The AD calendar was changed much later and the exact date of His birth is debatable. The Romans converted to Christianity, how can a changing a date be a miracle. They sure as hell didn't change the Roman calendar before he was born. And they knew how old he was when he was crucified. So wheres a miracle?

Atheists do not believe in God. They believe that Jesus was an exceptional charismatic and good person

The date change was invented in 525 by Dionysius Exiguus and didn't become dominant in Europe until 731. Only because Catholic Christianity had become the state religion, practiced by most, enforced against all. Other calendars have been produced since including the Julian and Gregorian which re-calculated the dates.

It's unlikey we'll ever bother to change the date again unless there is a world wide disaster reducing the population to an agreeable number.

There's a difference in not believing Jesus existed and not believing he was a savior. Atheists do not believe in miracles because there is no supernatural being to cause them. And changing of the dates is not a miracle.

I don't understand, miracle of life, miracle of death, miracle of beauty, miracle of thought, miracle of attraction, miracle of technology, miracle of love.

This is the problem I have with people that are so into their religion they only understand one way to think. There are more to "miracles" then the ones performed by Jesus in the Bible.

It looks like you are referring to how Atheists don't believe in the story of Adam and Eve as the way the we came into being. I don't believe in Adam and Eve I do believe it is a miracle that we evolved into who we are today.

i don't believe in miracles. They don't happen. Unexplainable things sometimes happen but that's what they, unexplainable events. But they are not miracles by any means.

Todays date is not a miracle. It would still be today with or without it being labeled 8/16/06.

...what?

Are you actually suggesting that supernatural forces influenced people to change the calendar dates?

Do a bit of history research please... Much of the calendar system we have today is older than Christianity and the outdated BC/AD system was made by people who believed in Christianity.

If Jesus didn't exist, this wouldn't inhibit those who still believed in his existence from doing these things.

Atheists believe in the miracle of a universe that "just happened" a "big bang" that started up for no reason and made everything accidently. Oh please? Why doesn't my empty garage just happen to have a car appear in it? If a car has to be made, how could a whole universe just happen?
