If you want to lose weight eat less calories. YOu don't sound overweight, but assuming you want to lose a little that is what you have to do. I don't belive aerobic exercise really helps to burn significant extra calories or that we can go an "run off a burger". Exercise with significant resistance (weight training) to build muscle which in turn burns calories just by existing. My partner and I are loosing weight at the moment, and a tip passed to us is to not eat anything far into the evening. We are trying to stop by about 8pm, which is a big improvement for us. We used to often eat 10.30-11pm. This seems to be making a big difference. It also helps to eat foods that help your liver and other organs to metabolise fats. The Liver Cleansing Diet is worth reading.

The easiest way to loose weight is to eat five small meals a day.

eating large meals increases your insulin levels, which converts the food you eat to fat.

eating little and often keeps the insulin levels low so your body does not react as much to the food.

Never eat Protein and carbohydrates together on the same day.
and limit the amount of fat you eat.

if you eat Meat don't eat vegetables that day.

same with veg if you eat them don't eat meat.

try to cut out all alcohol, fizzy drinks, bread, cakes and sweets.

and drink a lot of fluid (water preferably)

often when you feel hungry it is just dehydration, try having a drink instead of food.

if you put sugar in coffee or tea thats OK but use it sparingly

Really if you weigh 55 k and your 5'3 then you have to do morethan run I know I just had a baby and I am 5'3 also and I walk at a quick pace, but I use weights on my legs to lose more, so if you walk and and also try putting some saran wrap around your stomach area and you want believe how much weight you could lose by doing this

you honestly don't need to lose any weight but if you'd feel better doing so then just eat healthy meals and low fat low calorie stuff if u're peckish between meals.. do not cut breakfast as your body will go into starvation mode and store fat.. increase exercise too. sometimes people don't realise that doing toning exercises like sit ups etc. is all thats needed to trim down a bit,not necessarily weight loss,and remember that if u tone up the fat will turn into muscle and u may be a bit heavier but not fatter..that is an important point.. good luck with this and don't lose too much,it sounds like you're fine as u are..

Count your calories--no more than 1500-2000 a day. Walk at least two miles daily, and gradually build up from there. This is the beginning of a program. As you go along, you can find out more for yousrself: many newspapers include a Health section at least once a week.

Diets do not work. 99% of people gain the weight back. Here is how it works. No one teaches the animal what to eat and what not to eat. He knows instinctively what to eat. Humans also have the same instinct. The way it works is just eat whatever tastes good and that will be healthy for you and non-fattening. That is why a baby tastes everything. So again whatever tastes good, is good for you. This is why you will spit out spoiled milk.

But wait!!! Man has the technology to create rat poison. It tastes like healthy food (good taste) but kills the rat. So man has done that to you. Note- any food unaltered by man (uncooked) that tastes good, is good for you. So if you are stranded in the woods, that is how you know what to eat (cooking changes that). So man has created fake fruit. It tastes like fruit that exists in nature but it is terrrible for health, addictive and fattening called sweets.

So it is natural to like real sweets called fruit, like a baby does, but they have fooled you just like the rat. But they do not want to kill you. They want you to become obese so you will buy lots of their foods. This is called GOOD BUSINESS.
