college student and I just found out that I don't have enough financial aid to go back to school. I live in a small town and there are no colleges here. Some colleges have started and others will nexgt week. What should I do should I just go to a tech school or should I wait and see what will happen next semester with financial aid


okay let me help you understand better my financial aid only gave me $7000 my tution is $18000

That is a huge discrepancy. If you can't afford to pay this, cut back on some of your classes and take a side job to pay for the rest. Make sure you get decent grades. Re-apply next semester and see if your scholarship improves. If it does, great, if not, start to delve into other forms of help. See the financial aid counselor for additional advice. If other school are cheaper and offer the classes you need, see if you can transfer or do a distance study course on-line. I don't recommend loans, because they can become a big burden to you when you are fresh out of school.

You are guaranteed an undergraduate subsidized Stafford loan. Go to fafsa.org for more information.

Also, call your school's financial aid office to make arrangements for the tuition. The financial aid advisor will be able to help you figure out what other types of financial aid you are eligible for and assist you in applying for those. You can also ask the advisor about part-time work/study programs to help pay for tuition.

take out student loan....do not stop school it will just get worse the longer u wait.
