throughout the NT it says over and over again that the people of Judah loved Jesus and placed their faith in him. It was only the Romans and the Priests that hated Jesus and wanted him dead. Why did they change their belief in him?

What do you expect the new testament to say? And Paul makes it clear that he turned to the non-Jewish world because Jews just weren't buying it.

There have been many Messiah claimants that have had far more Jewish followers then Jesus ever did.

elliottandelliottmtg,
You are getting into the word! That's great!

Now let's see . . . . ."What happened to all the Jews that believed in Jesus?"
Since Jesus began preaching, there has always been Jews that believed in Jesus. We know that his half brothers didn't, but we know that some at the river Jordan did when Jesus was baptised by water by John the Baptist. John the Baptist was Jewish if I remember right.

"throughout the NT it says over and over again that the people of Judah loved Jesus and placed their faith in him."
It was mostly the sinners; at least that is implicated by the texts. The religious Jews were caught up in their works of the Law of Moses. By their works they thought that they were doing right. And for some, like the Pharisees, they had greed and their 'places' set and enjoyed it. They saw Jesus as a threat to their livelihood.

It was the sick, those who knew they were sick, and the sinners, those that knew they were sinners, that Jesus chose to hang around. That's why it says that Jesus is the friend of sinners.

"It was only the Romans and the Priests that hated Jesus and wanted him dead. Why did they change their belief in him?"
Well, no the Romans didn't hate him. In fact, some of them came to Jesus to ask things of him. One had more faith than in all Jesus saw in Judea.

The priests hated him. They, as I said before, had something to protect, and were taking money and things from people under the guise of 'religion.' Which is why I hate the word 'religion' when it comes to Christianity. I am spiritual because of God's Spirit, but religion is confused too much with ritualistc liturgy.

The first 50,000 Christians are Jews. As time progressed
satan creped into the church and turned many in the church
to hate the Jew, and satan has been doing it ever since. Even many respected early church Christians such as John
Chrysostomom, Martin Luther, ET AL. Satan will
continue to do this and other evil practices including false religions until Jesus comes. But thank God Almighty in
every generation there are those who continue to seek the Lord
and His kingdom and satan cannot deceive them.
I Corinthians 13;8a, Love never fails!!!!!

EDIT: Both Mary and Joseph(Jesus earthly parents) were
descendants of Judah, and they loved Jesus. So it is perfectly
correct to say that people of Judah loved Jesus.

Jesus exists and is viewed as a prophet in the Jewish faith. What separates the Jewish faith from the Christian faith is that Christians believe that Jesus was the son of god not just a prophet. There are of course other differences but when it come to Jesus this is where the difference is. The Jewish people are still waiting for a savior, Christians have a savior.

I did a text search for "Judah" in the NIV and the New Testament does not say even once that "the people of Judah loved Jesus".

See for yourself:

Matthew 1:2
Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers,

Matthew 1:3
Judah the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar, Perez the father of Hezron, Hezron the father of Ram,

Matthew 2:6
" 'But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of my people Israel.' "

Luke 3:30
the son of Levi, the son of Simeon, the son of Judah, the son of Joseph, the son of Jonam, the son of Eliakim,

Luke 3:34
the son of Judah, the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham, the son of Terah, the son of Nahor,

Hebrews 7:14
For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests.

Hebrews 8:8
But God found fault with the people and said : "The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

Revelation 5:5
Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals."

Revelation 7:5
From the tribe of Judah 12,000 were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben 12,000, from the tribe of Gad 12,000,

They became Christians.

Seriously.

The first Pope was Jewish, but that's because "Christianity" as a religion didn't exist yet. When some Jews realized that they believed in Christ as the Messiah and that others did not, they developed their own religion.

There are many jews and arabs in the middle east that still believe in Jesus. I met an Arab once that told me his family had believed since the time of Jesus.
