I heard that rumor years ago, that people complained that it promoted the idea of reinCARnation (ha ha). Wikipedia doesn't say anything about that, though, just says the show was awful and deserved to be cancelled.

After reading your question, I thought that maybe some Christians might have objected to the whole reincarnation thing, but I had never heard about it.

After researching extensively, I have found NO evidence to support any claim that the show was "dumped" because of any complaints. It was "not picked up" because of poor ratings, since ratings = $$$$$. An economic decision, pure and simple.

In some places in the southern US, Christians succeeded in banning the first season of "All in the Family", believe it or not. Apparently Archie Bunker's bigotry hit too close to home for some.

Yes, it's true, because Christians reasoned that someone must have married the car for her to have birthed a child, thus the questions such as "Can I marry my dog?" started back then.

No, the show was just bad. In 2002 TV Guide rated it as the second-worst show of all time.

i imagine a disclaimer might want to be placed that SDA teachings are depending totally on their founder, E.G. White. Like Mormons & JW's, any questions are literally not dealt first by technique of the bible, yet by technique of the chief of their team. So then, if the bible does no longer 'line up' with the chief, then it is the bible that could want to be 'corrected'. That reported, such issues as prophecy are in all places with many perspectives by technique of many communities. i'd believe 'Theos' (don't love the incorrect time period, God which then helps Muslims to declare brotherhood with Allah). i'd believe Theos to verify who might want to exhibit screen, who doesn't watch. and then, I do keep on with the Sabbath. it truly is one hundred% of the bible. there is not any sunday in the bible, in uncomplicated words sabbaths ( you may check out sturdy's for this). A be conscious about sabbath. It grow to be in effect lengthy formerly the regulation, and in uncomplicated words grew to grow to be area of it because the Jews doesn't word it, yet tried to do organization with their pagan neighbours that day. They curiously might want to be on the gates of the city till the literal sunset hour, and there back the subsequent day. i imagine your question is not any matter if someone legislates what's Christian? and what's a Christian? did you recognize, as an get at the same time, that the Salvation military do no longer count number on baptism nor do they have self assurance in the Lord's supper? This cuts out an rather good type of human beings then who're less than the Christian umbrella, doesn't it? i imagine we ought to verify if we can watch or no longer. relies upon on what those gay acts were about? in the adventure that they were promotion it, or in the adventure that they were saying it grow to be incorrect. in the different case, we are in threat of dropping loose speech. and then we are in threat of who comes to a decision what can and won't be able to be reported. loose speech can and is abused, inspite of the undeniable fact that the alternative is worse.

Christians like to imagine that they hear the voice of God. To really hear a voice is too much for them.
