For rapid weight loss, you could try the 1000 calorie a day diet. I've been doing it for about 6 weeks now (and I'm 20 by the way), I must have lost about a stone. It did take some getting used to but I had visible results after about 10 days.
Typically, I limit my breakfast to around 100ish calories which usually comprises of a cup of tea (which is about 15 calories) and a breakfast bar of 70-90 calories.
Then I'll have maybe a cup of soup with two slices of bread (lightly buttered) at lunch (that is about 300-350 calories) maybe accompanied by a diet coke. I practically live on diet coke and tea.
Then my dinner (which my mum makes) I make her make it no more than 500 calories, (so I can have a small ice cream afterwards as a treat, twisters and mini milks are particularly good as low-calorie ice creams).
It did take me quite some getting used to and I felt hungry all the time but after a week or so, you won't feel hungry all the time if you do this.
You ought to do exercise too though. Cycling and skipping are good exercise (they burn off lots of calories). For example, if there was something worth 200 calories like a chocolate bar or something, 20 minutes of skipping at a moderate pace burns off 200 calories.

Well the best way to lose weight is to get on a sensible diet and plenty of exercise. Drink plenty of water throughout the day. To help curb your appetite drink eight ounces of water before each meal and don't skip out on breakfast. Breakfast gets your metabolism going. If you cannot go to a gym. Try swimming or running at home. Just don't try to lose the weight too fast. That will do you more harm than good. The best of luck to ya!

Burn more calories than you take in.

There are three ways to do this:
1. Eat fewer calories, don't increase activity
2. Eat the same calories, increase activity
3. Eat fewer calories, increase activity

I would recommend number 3, finding an activity you like (walking, biking, frisbee throwing) and do more of it while cutting back on calories.

Don't expect results immediately. It took years to put it on, it may take as many to get it off. And don't expect to look muscular.

This is more about lifestyle than weight loss.

The following will surely help cut your weight.

Diet consciousness-eat a balanced diet with as little fat as possible,and in small proportions.No fast foods or snacks.
Have regular meals at proper intervals.No food before bed!

Exercise-Try skipping rope,jogging in the mornings and trekking up steep slopes.These are good for burning off extra fat and keeping your heart in top shape.

Diets do not work. 99% of people gain the weight back. Here is how it works. No one teaches the animal what to eat and what not to eat. He knows instinctively what to eat. Humans also have the same instinct. The way it works is just eat whatever tastes good and that will be healthy for you and non-fattening. That is why a baby tastes everything. So again whatever tastes good, is good for you. This is why you will spit out spoiled milk.

But wait!!! Man has the technology to create rat poison. It tastes like healthy food (good taste) but kills the rat. So man has done that to you. Note- any food unaltered by man (uncooked) that tastes good, is good for you. So if you are stranded in the woods, that is how you know what to eat (cooking changes that). So man has created fake fruit. It tastes like fruit that exists in nature but it is terrrible for health, addictive and fattening called sweets.

So it is natural to like real sweets called fruit, like a baby does, but they have fooled you just like the rat. But they do not want to kill you. They want you to become obese so you will buy lots of their foods. This is called GOOD BUSINESS. there a lot of different ways to lose weight. you could join a gym, start eating healthy, stay away from fatty foods, eat 3 times a day, believe it or not that works, don't eat late, excercise, stuff like that.

im losing loads of weight and the only thing about my diet that iv changed is that iv stopped eating bread. iv dropped a dress size in 3 weeks.

i joined the Royal Navy. 8 weeks of basic training and i lost a stone(i wasnt overweight in the first place)
