SEE HOW IGNORANT OUR SOLDIERS ARE?
Third we are not over her for oil you friggin retards. if we were here for oil would be paying $3 a gal for gas? NO the answer is no you retards. We are here fighting terrorisim and keeping the fight from the streets of hometown USA.
WHY WOULD BUSH WANT OIL TO BE CHEAP? WHEN OP SAYS IT WAS FOR OIL, HE MEANS IT WAS TO ENRICH THE CORPORATIONS WHO ARE IN THE OIL INDUSTRY, SUCH AS CHENEY'S OIL COMPANY, HALIBURTON.
TELL US GENIUS, WHY WAS HALIBURTON, WHERE CHENEY SERVED AS CEO, AWARDED A NO-BID $1 BILLION CONTRACT TO REBUILD IRAQI OIL FIELDS WITHOUT THEIR COMPETITORS ALLOWED TO BID????? BY BLOCKING THE BIDDING, IT COST US TAXPAYERS AT LEAST $700 MILLION!!!!!!!
AND TELL US WHAT TERRORISM ON THE USA THAT SADDAM'S REGIME WAS INVOLVED IN. SINCE YOU'RE THERE YOU MUST KNOW. NO ONE IN THE USA SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT IRAQ DID TO DESERVE BEING INVADED AND OCCUPIED.
JUST GOES TO SHOW.... SOLDIERS ARE IDIOTS, THEY JUST DO WHAT THEY ARE TOLD LIKE GOOD LITTLE ROBOTS. DON'T THINK, JUST SHOOT.
AND YOU CAN COME BACK HOME, YOU'RE NOT FIGHTING FOR ANYTHING NOBLE SUCH AS OUR FREEDOM.... YOU'RE FIGHTING FOR OUR DEMISE.

How dare you suggest that military wives don't love their husbands. It just shows your total ignorance. I should expect that though TRYING to read your whole statement. You obviously need some education. Other than that, let me get back to the point. I'm married to an Army man of 18 years so far. I love him more than life itself. He's everything to me. We're more happy and in love today than we were when we met in high school well over 20 years ago. I'm proud of his career choice and stand by everything he does. (I might also remind you that the job he does allows you the freedom to spew such ignorance on this forum.) We didn't join with the thought of going to war. Nobody really wants that, but you always know that it's possible. I believe in what is happening in Iraq too. He's been to the sandbox 3 times and each time, I've had to stand by and wait to hear from him....just to know if he was safe. American military are helping the Iraqi people and the Iraqi people are glad to have us there. Yes, there are areas where the troops aren't treated so well, but overall, the country is happy and being rebuilt. For the first time, they can vote and speak their mind. They're not murdered for not believing in the same thing as the countries leader (just like the US). They have food and money and they're getting an education. None of which they had before. Saddam had all their oil money stashed, piles and piles of it, which our military found while the Iraqi people starved. As far as being pro Bush, I think he's a good president. By far, he's not the best by any means. He's also not the worst. That was during the Clinton administration, which is the reason we had defective and faulty equipment. He's the one that cut everything back. We sure don't marry military men for the money. There is no money to speak of. An insurance policy sure can't replace the life of my hubby. It can't kiss me good night or call me just to say "I love you" or raise our child. God forbid, my hubby died, at least I'd know he died with honor doing what he wanted to do. I have the upmost repect for him and what he goes through. I'm smart and independent and very much in love with my Army man. I'm far from brainwashed or anything similar. I'm sorry for you that you can't understand that, but maybe now you'll be a bit more educated. Now all you need to do is quit listening to propaganda and go out in the real world. The facts are there if you're willing to learn.
HooAh!!
Army wife.....toughest job in the Army!!
EDIT: I'm also willing to bet that the answer that's picked best will be the one that totally agrees with your views. It won't be the one with the most facts or actually be the BEST answer. I watch you people do this all the time and come to expect it.

Being in the military or a spouse or child of a military member is something that you will never understand. It's a way of life. A large family. Even though they may not agree with the current administrations policies and decisions, they support them and each other. They are proud of the spouses and children and they are proud of their country. They understand that to do the right thing isn't always the most popular, but it has to be done. And since their significant others and/or children volunteered for service they will support them as well.
Its a hell of a job being a soldier and just as difficult being a soldier's family member. Salute them don't bash them.

I am a Military wife...and very PROUD of it. I must say that I take great offense to your details not so much your question. You have struck a nerve and you are about to get an answer to your oh so misguided question.
I voted for Bush yes. I would have voted for him whether my husband was in or out of the Military. Do I agree with everything he says or does...no I don't. Do I think it's time to bring our troops back home yes I do.
Do I want my husband to go off to war.....no. I love him with all of my heart and then some. If anything happend to him it would kill me. HOW DARE YOU EVEN SUPPOSE TO KNOW WHAT A MILITARY WIFE GOES THROUGH OR FEELS. Until you put on one of our skins and walk around in it for a 12-18 month deployment...handle one crisis after another at home with grace and dignity, have your closest family member 750 miles away....give birth to your baby alone in a hospital, explain to your three year old why daddy isn't here for Christmas or their birthday or comfort a friend who has lost her husband and her children who have lost their father knowing in your heart that could be you.....then maybe, you would have earned the right to open your mouth and suppose to know how we think and or feel.
I am against the protesters who stand outside our military post....MY HOME and hold up signs for my children.... all of our children to see, that the soldiers deserve to die. Nowhere on those signs does it say we support our troops not the war. I am against the protesters who protest AT FUNERALS for our fallen Warriors.....there is a time and place for everything and that is neither the time nor the place!! That Warrier died to protect the right for them to speak their minds....the least the protester could do is show a little RESPECT. Those who protest the war and still support our men and women in uniform I have no issues with.
At the beginning of the conflict in Iraq the armor was not as adequate as it is now. They have uparmored humvees.....and thank GOD they do or my husband wouldn't be coming home to me in September.
So see Laff.....that is your answer. However it does not even come close to describing the strong group of dedicated women to which I am PROUD to belong. I didn't resort to name calling or insulting your intellegence. Hope this helps to clear up your confused thinking of Military wives.

You are truly pathetic. Is this the middle ages? Why would our troops even need armor? Almost all fighting is with guns or bombings so it wouldn't do much good. Have you even seen what the training is like in some branches of the military? It is some hard stuff and they work their butts of for it. You wouldn't last a week in their training. The wives are pro-Bush and pro-war because they know their husbands are actually fighting for something worthwhile. So they support them which is what you should be doing. Support our troops! They are going through a lot to protect your sorry butt.

There are many reasons for this, almost as many reasons as there are military spouses. Keep that in mind, y'all: it ain't just wives anymore, we send young women off to war now, too.
One of the reasons is that the Republican party has historically been more willing to spend money on the military than the Democrats. Republicans tend to give bigger pay raises, and hold the military in higher regard in their public speech and actions, traditionally. Therefore, career military members and their families have a tendency to lean toward the Republican party in general.
Another reason is that the military culture is more accustomed to showing deference to those higher in the rank structure, and the President is as high as it gets. It is generally considered bad form in the military to speak ill of one's seniors.
Also, many will consider that once sacrifices have been made to a cause, the cause should not be given up lightly. There is a tendency, once military personnel have died in action, to consider those lives wasted, or not honored if that action is not ultimately successful. Within the military, there was considerable feeling like that after Vietnam, and nobody within the military wishes to repeat the post-Vietnam experience.
There will be many other reasons, but those three will be in toward the top of just about anyone's list. Our military, and families, are proud to do whatever job is called for by our elected leaders.

Well, Excuse me-but I am an army wife, my husband has been to Iraq twice in four years. I am appalled at your last comment. I am in no way, shape or form pro Bush or pro war. I am proud of my husband and all of our friends who have been overseas in the name of freedom! I hate when my husband has to leave-even if it is just for training-but it is his job, and this is what he feels he needs to do-I, as his wife supports him and all of our friends that have to go as well! If my husband never had to go to war again, that would be a dream come true for my family!! I have many friends here who are also army wives, and I'll have you know never have we sat around a kitchen table and discussed how wonderful this frickin war is!!!! The most common comment is always "I wish they would just come home already!!!" So please-next time you start to stereotype others-maybe you need to research those you are stereotyping!! There is a huge difference between being patriotic and being pro war!

You really don't understand what this war is about. You might trying reading up on the topic--from all points of view. Perhaps when you are a little more educated you'll understand why good, thinking people support this war. Our efforts over there are far from a failure. Many great things have been accomplished, but there is still a lot to be done. Oh, and while you are busy blaming Bush for "sending them over there" don't forget the members of Congress that voted in favor of it. Whether you like Bush or not, he can neither take all of the credit, nor all of the blame for what is happening/will happen.
The answers to your questions are far too long for a forum such as this. Please take my suggestion--go to the library, watch the news, and keep an open mind. Form your own opinions, not just what your friends or family have to say.
By the way, you shouldn't type in all caps. It looks like you are shouting.

Let me ask you this.. Are you a military wife? If not, then shut up. Saying we want out husbands to go because we them to die so we can collect the insurance is by far the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Ever think that maybe we are pro-war because our husband's are and they need all ths support and encouragement they can get? I really hope your not a military wife, if so..your husband has my condolences.

What dumb reasoning! As a mother of a US Army Ranger & Officer, I & my Daughter In Law support President Bush because he is very pro military. He tries to get more money for our troops, better housing & education benefits & etc.
This so called immoral war is not immoral - it has removed a dictator like Saddam, installed a duly elected Democratic goverment. Oil has nothing to do with war, we buy most of our oil from Canada. They would be easier to invade, close by - attack & home for supper each day.
Serbia was not considered a good war, it cost 35,000 lives & made 3.5 million refugees. It was called the "war of shame" by most of the media. It was also a NATO run war, not a Clinton run war - he would never have that kind of courage.
Good bless the USA & our troops forever.

If the US has "inadequate armour" and doesnt have "proper training" then who does? We have the strongest military the world has ever seen.
Military wives are pro Bush and support the war because it is what the believe in and they support their husbands.
Please stick to facts only. The only objective was not an "oil grab". Saddam Hussein was a threat to the world and was killing his own people.
So you do agree with putting a stop to "ethnic clensing"? So when we attack Iran you will be supporting Bush?
