Not are doctors are reliable. Always get a second opinion.

I kept on telling the Dr.'s that my son wasn't talking and something was wrong. No one listen. Every Dr. at the WV clinic kept on saying "he's a late talker."

Well, guess what-- I moved to IL and he saw another Dr.-- who immediately refers me to Speech therapist for evaluation. To make the story short. He was Evaluated in Chicago and diagnosed w/ Autism, ADHD, and SID.

So in my opinion -- I will always question the Dr. --get second
opinions and if you gut instinct tells you something is wrong -- listen to it.

A doctor is only as good as the patient. Did you question the doctor's prior to taking the prescriptions? What about the patients that don't want to hear that they have a basic cold? Or just need to rest. Patients are demanding a pill. Just look at the commercials that are advertised, pills to help you sleep, wake up, maintain an erection, increase sex drive, etc etc. My son is handicap and without medications he would not survive, Some of the medications that he has tried in the past have had bad side effects, but were discontinued after weighing the options. Not all medications react the same with people. I am tired of everyone blaming physicians for their problems.
