I post a picture of my neice and all the sudden I am pandering a child?! Also what is racist about it? She is from Mexico, as I stated, I hope that she comes to the US someday to visit. I never said we shouldnt have a border. I just think we need to allow more people to come in legally. I have never said that "No Mexican has ever commited a crime". That is not realistic.

no. kheserthorpe (?!) is right. as has been demonstrated by economists, higher population does actually correlate to higher consumption and productivity in a society, as well as financial growth. obviously, there are limits, and when a society has far more people than it has natural resources to feed (plus a corrupt government), then things spiral downward into poverty. the US is nowhere near that point, however. as a wealthy nation that is not overpopulated, we still experience financial growth along with increasing population. in fact, without immigration we would be teetering on the edge of a downward trend in population, which would result in financial decline for our country.
i hope she grows up to be whatever she wants, wherever she wants.

What me worry!!!!
I would not be worried that she could take my job. I was a stay at home mom with 6 children for 15 years then worked as an RN for 30 years then retired because I am old and tired. Any way I was born in Mexico brought over the border by an aunt who had come here illegally and have been here ever since I was 3 months old. Mom died when I was born. Dad was 67 and he was always around for us. He was Anglo.

Why are you pandering a child you should be ashamed of your self to use pictures of children in such a racist way all your doing is spreading hate and demanding there be no borders from what I seen, you say no Mexican has never ever created a crime in America it's all acts of racist people who dare indicate anybody from Mexico has ever did anything wrong. I think you are morally wrong to be using a child like this.
You know what your doing is wrong it's called exploitation .

No. There are not a fixed number of jobs. As the population grows - whether through childbirth, legal or illegal immigration - the demand for goods and services rises, so the demand for workers to meet that demand rises. She will both fill a job, and through her own purchases, create jobs.

Nope by that time the United States would be sold.
She wouldn't have to come here to work. Mexico would be a better country.

My main concern is that she arrives here legally. Do us all a favor and see to it that she does not add to the already large number of illegals that are walking among the law abiding citizens of this great country.

No the weird thing is, I am not afraid that she'll take my job. I already graduated from college but I am studying again for another field, I will be more competetive that way. Besides if she was really smarter than I am then she's meant to be there. The thing is, the only jobs that illegals can do are the manual labor type of jobs, and those jobs, I am happy not to do.

She will never know enough English to take my job but the real question is will we ever enforce our laws so that she stays at home and makes Mexico a better place.

I really do not care. If she is better at it than I am, then she could have it. But she can't if she is not in the country legally. It has nothing to do with fear or any other junk you want to paint people with who are just trying to see our laws enforced.

By the time she was old enough, I will be happily retired. As long as she is legal, she can do whatever job she aspires to have and is able to do - it's the American dream.
PS - your niece is cute. She's not as loco as you, is she? Have a nice day!!
