Your priorities change when you have a child. It isn't as fun to go out til all hours, and its difficult to manage. Also, you tend to walk away from guys that may be interested cause somewhere in the back of your mind is the thought that he'll lose interest when he finds out you have a child. Sometimes its true, but not always. Having self-confidence is the best way. When my kids were younger I learned to ditch the bar scene as a way of going out and I had lunch with girlfriends instead. I also took up rowing with a bunch of women my age. It was great fun. Next thing I know I wa confident and glowing and met a great guy who didn't have any problems dating a woman with 3 kids at home. 4 years later we're engaged.

I'm not sure if you mean it is hard to meet people or its difficult for you to want to go out. Anyway, some people flat out don't want to be with a young mother for obvious reasons. A lot don't mind one bit, so put the others on iggie and focus on them. If you are having a hard time having the desire to go out, that's fine. It just means you are busy being a mommy right now and that is good for your child. Don't rush hun. It will all work out great in the end. Enjoy your kid and the right one will be there when it's the right time.

Personally or just in general? personally it's prob cuz youre still vulnerable and don't wanna get hurt. maybe. in general I guess cuz it's hard to find the time to meet people when you're busy parenting. It'll happen though.

It shouldnt. It also depends on WHERE you're looking. I honestly dont get how a woman can go out and actually find a good man, yet she'll treat him like dirt, and go out and find a piece of **** and marry him, and he beats her butt everyday for the rest of her life, yet she "LOVES HIM".
So if you're really looking for a good man which I'm one of them, then quit going to bars and parties trying to find a man.

I agree, but I really took my time and eventually my friends introduced me to some really great women and things have been getting better...taking your time is the secret!

You are seen as someone with 'baggage'. It takes time and of cos, a lot of jerks will come across your path.
