Get him something you think he is going to love and something he doesn't have. And you know what else sometimes all they need is for you to be there, to tell them you love him. Prepare a nice dinner go to a Hotel do something you never did before you know. Do something new. say Happy 21st Birthday to him for me.

What ever his favorite activity is. schedule that with all his guy friends. Give him a great day off. Then take care of him in a special way that night. If you have children, Get a sitter, a hotel, and bee very very late.

well, think of what he likes. it's his present, anyway. what is his hobby? maybe you can add to what he is collecting. think of your conversations with him. what did he mention that he liked? what does he enjoy doing?
the best thing is to give him something that you are sure he will appreciate and make him happy and feel that this birthday is a special one.

If he plays video games, or likes DVDs try a multimedia chair! I just got one for a gift for a friend... he loved it. the one I got was like this: http://www.boomchair.com/index_chairtwopoint.html I got mine for just over $100 at BJ's Wholesale... which is a store like CostCo.
