I'm always having to struggle day by day to make it through the end of the month. I pay all things on time but can't save to take a vacation.

Make a journal of what you actually do spend. Try to do it for a whole month to see where you can cut back. You would be surprised how much you can save by making your own lunch and coffe or cappacino.
After you do that, find small things that you can cut back. Perhaps eating out less or refinancing your house or vehicle to lower payments.
If those don't work you can always try for a better paying job. A lot of companies have credit unions available to their employees. You can take advantage of the credit union and have five or ten dollars a week taken out and put into a savings so you can save. If it comes out of your check then you won't miss it so much. If you get a raise just put the raise toward the account too.

Don't let your expectations get out of control, but don't settle for what won't make you really happy either.

Realize that you have limits and boundaries and you have to accept them. Don't get too upset over it. Maybe next year!

You are in the 80 percentile of all Americans who live paycheck to paycheck and cannot afford to go on vacation, or if they do, they barely scrape enough change to take one.

First, you want to eliminate what you need and what you want. Eliminate services for your home; for example if you "want" cable, you might need to eliminate some services by downgrading to the lower or lowest package your cable company offers. Think about it, do you really have time to watch ALL THOSE CHANNELS and if you're a couch potato, do you really need all those channels?

Second, when you go shopping don't buy on impulse. If you get the urge to, think about if you want it or if you need it. If you still can't decipher the difference, you might want to consider not taking your checkbook, ATM card, or credit card shopping with you. If you must, take $20 cash with you; this way, you are limiting yourself to $20. But you have to think about this: if you go shopping five times a week and you take $20 each time, you're really spending $100.

Third, if you're a Starbucks fan, like most of us, you might want to buy their coffee bags that are pre packed and make it yourself at home. Think about it, you'll be saving $4-$5 dollars for each time you go into buy ONE CUP of a Grande, Iced Caramel Machiato or Latte. Another thing you can buy is an expresso machine; in the long run you'll save money. Can't help but think about stopping in at Starbucks? Well then try taking the money you're about to spend for coffee and stuff it into an unbreakable bank.

Fourth, take all your change (quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies) that is given to you after a purchase and throw them into a jar AND DON'T TOUCH THEM. Before you know it, you'll have a couple jars full.

These are just a few things to help you out in saving money.

Can seriously relate to this, but why should you feel like a failure if you pay and take care of your responsibilities? That is an accomplishment! Could try a side job that will be income just to save???? Good luck.

Keep a daily diary of how you spend money. There may be some spending that can be stopped without causing deprivation. Stop using credit cards if you do now. Credit cards are too tempting when you are out shopping and find something you really like but can't afford at the moment.

Lower your expectations of yourself.

Try coming up with a budget, look at what you spend and find places to cut back. There are always ways you can save money. Cut back on cable, cellphone, eating out and any other expenses that are not necessary.

When you stop thinking about it, you may find new ideas have a chance to enter into your mind. There are many ideas and opportunities out there...Allow them to flourish within your mind. You may be pleasantly surprised... Why not challenge Ebay, on their offer for making extra money?

First, try taking some St. John's wort...at least 150mg per day.
Second, shuffle your schedule a bit and try a second (part time) job even if only one day on weekends.
