A flat iron makes girls' hair straight. Using a flat iron is kind of like blow-drying your hair straight. A flat iron consists of two metal plates that heat up once you plug the flat iron in. You put a section of your hair between the two plates and then clamp the handle together to bring the two metal plates together. You start at the top of the hair section and then slowly move the flat iron down, making your hair straight in the process.
