How did god decide what farts smell like.
I mean a taco fart smells different from a egg fart. It much have taken a month to actually come up with all the different fart smells.
Did god run focus groups to determine wheather a smell was smelly enough to qualify as a fart smell?

What you have to understand is that perception is largely relative. There is no smell of gas. What does exist is your perception of it.
Your perception is there largely to determine whether something is safe, harmful, poison, or food.
Because gas can transmit airborne bacteria, it makes sense that the gasses perceived by humans be perceived as bad smelling. You could also think that since biologically gas is related to crap chemically in that they are both byproducts, it makes sense that they are both bad smelling. The reasoning is that the body does not need to process something it would get little or no nutrition from.

God gave us a body that functions in many ways. So when you eat foods with different taste and different seasonings your body separates everything and acids in your stomach gets involved with anything you eat and creates gasses and as it passes the esophagus or the intestinal area it gives it the smell of "GROSSSSSS!!!!!" SMELLS. Thanks for the points.

ok, this is what i believe so dont persecute me for it. i believe that god (or whoever it is) took care of all the major details and left the little things, like your inane question, to others. why would he/she/it wonder or even really care about that. god already made a really good joke, look at the platypus!
