If you're taking that much ibuprofen (advil, motrin), naprosyn (aleve), or Aspirin (bayer) it can cause ulcers or bleeding in your stomach. If you're taking that much Tylenol at once, it can cause liver damage. You should NEVER take more than the recommeded daily dose of an over the counter medication. If the pain is that bad, you need to see a doctor and get a prescription. Pain that severe is a warning that something is wrong.

The number of pain relief tablets depends on the what you're taking, OTC or prescription. I generally stick to the recommended doasge on prescription, e.g., Vicodin, but will take two times the recommendation on OTC, e.g., Tylenol.

That's enough, if your taking Ibuprofen be careful they can have an effect on your kidneys. Please do not take that many for a extended period of time. If your pain persists go to a doctor.
