He is about 5 months old and everyday since he was 6weeks he has had them. I have to pick them out sometimes 2 times a day. Also, sometimes I can hear him breathing through is nose like it's stuffed up (even after I clean it out). ALSO!!! He sometimes tries to meow but nothing comes out or it sounds all cracky! What's up with him?

He could have allergies. Cats can get seasonal allergies like hayfever, etc. I would get him checked by a vet. He should be treated for whatever he has, and it will give you some peace of mind.

I agree sound like a respiratory infection.
Could be herpes.

At five months old he shouldn't be all mucus-y. Get him to a vet soon.

PS - my kitty didn't start meowing until he was almost a year old. He tried, but nothing would come out. It was like watching a cat with the MUTE button on! Sad! He's fine now, and talks up a storm.

Best wishes!

This is normal for a kitten, it is a healthy sign! the mucus stuff that you see helps protect the baby kitten's eyes and it keeps extra pollutants from entering it's body. Humans have hairs in our nose no protect us, where as kittens and cats don't.

Sounds like my Oliver. He has feline herpes, I would suggest you make a vet appointment and have him looked at and if your vet doesn't say anything about it ask about feline herpes, a lot of vets tend to miss that diagnosis.

My kitten has watery eyes. I understand she could have a respiratory problem, allergies, or asthma.
