Reply to Peter D: as atheism is a reaction against theism and Christianity is theism, then it would appear that atheism is more like an anti-virus mind programme,rather like the ones that protect your computer from harmful viruses, so the answer to your question is probably no.

All religions are a problem - they require people to give up logic and believe in unprovable things. To the weak-minded, this is great. The more intelligent among us see religion as a moronic horror (and an easy way to control someone!).

Its certainly a good example of meme, a repeating thought that can replicate and spread like a virus. Most major religions have this ability.
And since Christianity, particularly, is damaging to the well-being of its believers and the socities it infects, then yes, it is a parasitic mind virus.
