Which breed would win in a fight?

I'm not planning on fighting them just wondering what breed is the better fighter.

People who fight dogs are just wimps who have no cajonas, and expect the dog to have balls enough for both of them.
The thing is, they are too stupid to realize that women know this!
As soon as someone posts such a question, girls from all over the world say, "just another idiot wus"

It really depends on the size of the pitbull. "Pitbulls" can range from small (16" and 35 lbs) to very large (24"+ and 70+ lbs).
However, the pitbull line has been so "polluted" that it's hard to tell what is a true pitbull and what is not. A true working class pitbull (American Pitbull Terrier) averages around 16-20" and weighs about 35lbs - 60 lbs.
Most german shepherds average 24"-27" and 60lbs - 90lbs.
If neither dog is trained to fight, I'd definitely have to say the german shepherd would win. If they've both been trained to fight, and are they are close in size, I'd go with the pitbull. However, a 16" 40 lb trained pitbull most likely will not beat a trained german shepherd.

You guys are idiots! Pit Bull's jaws do not lock. Do some research.
My german shepherd is 140 lbs. and german shepherds have a statistically stronger bite than pit bulls. (#1 strongest bite is rotweiler, #2 german shepherd, and #3 pit bull.) So yes, a trained pit bull fighting dog would beat your average household german shepherd... but if raised the same way and having the same fighting experience... the shepherd wins on size and bite alone. Let's not forget they have been used for years as attack dogs in police and military (World War 2). Do the math. Average pit bull = 50,55 lbs vs average shepherd = 75,80 lbs
Also the average pit bull is not the horrible mean creature that people portray them as. They are probably one of the most loving breeds out there if raised properly.

Dog fighting is never okay but If the two were to cross eachothers paths, and fought, I'd definitley go with the pitbull. The german sheppard is a scary Dog and can put up a fight, but most german sheppards have an unwillingness to fight to the death. They may get hyped up and snap a few times but they would eventually slow their role and become hesitant to fight for a long period of time. German sheppards were not bred to fight, they were originally bred to herd cattle in germany. However, the pit bull was bred to fight actual bulls at first but over time starting fighting other pit bulls. It's in their blood to willingly fight to the death and it DOES have incredible bite strength, but only seem to use the bite strength when extremely provoked. Thats why pit bulls are the few breeds used for Boar hunting as a catch dog. Bottom line is.... german sheppard would put up a short fight but wouldn't last.

Does this question come from a child? Would Superman win against Spider-Man? LOL both breeds old oil to the Masters if raised right both breeds if raised right can do alot of damage one against another depends on the situation depends on the dog as an individual not the breed as we all know dominance it's not about the size of the dog it's about how they carry themselves which comes the old saying it's not about the size of the dog in the fight it's the size of the fight in the dog. If you have to ask this question you probably shouldn't own either breed. This is a picture of my shepherd which by the way is only 11 months smiling after playing with two pit bulls at the park all three dogs had fun and won today!!!

I think that an german shepard wouid win in a fight because there the smartestof the top three smartest and there big and have the power to bite you

Sorry. pit bull will tear the *** out of the shepherd. When in a frenzy they are like sharks. I saw a pit bull take on a much bigger shep and the pit snapped his hind leg in half. Then shredded the shep. It took a baseball bat to get the dog off.And the bat strike didn't seem to hurt him. The shep had to be put down. One thing I might add is the pit bull if raised in a loving home will be absolutely loyal and kind to people. I wouldn't recommend them around other strange dogs though.

German shepherd would most likely win they have the 2nd strongest bite and pitbull 3rd... But it depends on the size. Dog fighting is horrible and people shouldn't do it though

Fighting dogs is horrible . But I can personally say the German shepherd would win . I had a pit attack me and my German shepherd why we was walking and I can say that my baby wouldn't let him hurt me . I'm just glad my baby is okay .

I do not even like to think of which dog would win because everyone knows what pitbulls are like and they will not stop fighting until the other animal is DEAD because they have more body and jaw strength than a German Shepherd. If it was me I would never own a pitbull because they will turn on you and try to kill you also.
