I recently got extremely bored and looked on a case of Poland Spring water to see what was in it besides just water.. I knew it contained virtually nothing, but I was surprised to see 2mg of sodium is in each serving of Poland Spring water.. How come this is so? Is this some sort of preservative?

Yes, its to help the clarity of the water and to help it not grow any bacteria. 2mg is virtually nothing.
