This is not allowed. That's why their bishops are reprimanding them.

With love in Christ.

One question at a time:

Question #1: Why are Catholic Priests moonlighting as witch doctors?

Answer: They are not. You are condemning all Catholic Priests on the basis of some isolated incident. It is wrong to blame all Catholic Priests for the sins of a few. That is bigoted, biased and ignorant.

Question #2: Is that allowed in Catholicism?

Answer: Didn't you read the article? Southern Africa's Catholic bishops have warned priests to stop moonlighting as witch doctors, fortune tellers and traditional healers, and to rely on Christ for miracles. The Catholic Bishops have already condemned that practice as unacceptable.

the nothing,
It is something that I warn the Roman Catholics of on occaision. They accept the heresy of praying to Mary and the Saints, a ritual taken from pagan sources, and attach it on to Christianity. Actually, it was the other way around. They were pagan at first, and then made Christianity part of their ceremonies afterwards.

The nature of sin is to continue down the road and do other things. I suppose that it could be stated, " That wasn't so bad, then if that's okay to do, I'll do this other thing too." And so I expect that those preist began to see that praying to statues and other things than God was okay, So doing these other things are okay too.

To answer your question more directly;
"Why are CATHOLIC PRIESTS moonlighting as witch doctors??"
It's because they've accepted pagan rituals long ago, and it's only one step away from that they are practicing. Sin is ignored and the next step in Ritualistic Idolatry is taken.

The Vatican should not be too happy about it, but they are giulty of it too, just the same.

The Salem Witch Trials weren't carried out via the Catholic Church!!! that's between the main incredulous statements i've got ever study. and that i'd desire to renowned, too 'cuz i'm from MA!! Catholicism replaced into unlawful interior the rather some colonies (inclusive of MA) until eventually the 18th century (and in some places, the nineteenth). This cutting-edge isn't something greater beneficial than a smear marketing campaign aimed in the direction of the Holy Father. the concentration of the clicking coverage surrounding it rather is all with reference to the Pope, no longer with reference to the victims and the rather perpetrators of the crimes.

It's nice to see the South African bishops doing their job and properly disciplining the wayward priests.

That's exactly what God expects of his bishops.

It would have been great if the American bishops had done as well with the sex scandals in the U.S.
