Im a muslim and I agree with u I think this new identity thing they are trying to start at the airport can be a good thing if it is done within limits I mean u can single out the people by their Ethnicity and the way they look but then u ar at risk of killing another innocent person (the man that was chased after because "he looked suspicous" and shot repeatedly in the head, only to later find out he was infact an innocent man) and u are also in danger of causing discrimination towards the ethnic minority.
However if it is carried out in a proper manner and made sure that when talking to any asian they may suspect they talk to him with respect (for all they know this man could be innocent) and treat him with respect and take their precutions like that, then this system could very well work and they could make flying very safe again.
Also I feel non muslims need to be educated on Islam, many people who see Islam as a terroist religon and all muslims as terroists feel this way because they are just believeing what the terroist say and the media I mean come on, that's like the christians who bombed the abortion clinics I could very well go around saying all christians are terroist who are trying to force their beliefs on other's by bombing abortion clinics, yet I do not say this because first of all I am educated in christianity I may be a muslim but I am educated in christianity i did a very short course on it that at the end gives u a certificate saying u have studied the old and new testament of the bible. Also I know the difference between Christianity Christians and extremists, the people that went and bombed the abortion clinics can not be christians because they went against the teachings of christianity they are extremists just as the people who are bombing planes can not be seen as muslims because they are going against what islam teaches they are extremists! The sooner people understand this the sooner we will all be able to take a stand together to put an end to the terroism and finaly have the peace we once used to have!

we could try not bombing there countries all the time i mean a terrorist leader released a tape thanking the US for the war in Iraq and Afghanistan he said that enrollment and donations had gone thru the roof (my translation) and well there is the fact that our government wants us to live in fear so they have a tendency to focus in the hate towards the Muslim countries and community to justify there(the US) attacks on Muslim countries and cultures....and of course the ultimate question is do you really believe the "terrorist" really are behind the attacks that we supposedly thwart and if they were even involved with 9/11

Sadly, many muslim dominated countries have 10% or more radical muslims. This type of rate really requires drastic action. Maybe civil crackdown that would result in civil war. Either that or eventually Israel will be strongly attacks (but they have nukes) or several other Middle Eastern countries may need to be beaten into submission (that's how race wars really tend to end up). I, personally, would like to see civil crackdown in the middle east, as opposed to civil war/actual war (you know the deadly kind, unlike Israels pulled punches this last time). Oh, and that comment include Israel who may need to forcibly remove illegal settlers or make them give up their citizenship and get citizenship in another country. But hey, thats just me. Maybe we should just let this keep going down until Iran and Israel nuke each other. Maybe they'de take care of each other for us....
If government would quick equipping people with military weapons that would greatly simplify the issue. Many countries aren't actually devoted to peace...

Put two security guards on all flights. Better airport security and weapon detection. REduced hand luggage and NO liquids.
Can't help with the muslim thing though, I think moderate muslims should be more pro-active and be authoritative or disciplinary with people becoming fundamentalists. Either that or abandon your faith or get the hell out of western countries.

Unfortunately, the only real answer here is philosophy and/or psychology. You have to know why they do it so that you can come up with reasons for them either not to do it, or reasons to give to their supporters why they shouldn't support terrorism. And the only way to do either is to study their philosophies and come up with a counter-philosophy that makes sense to either the terrorists or their supporters, or to understand their psychology so that you can be in the right place and the right time to stop them from attacking. I don't know enough about their reasons why to do either myself, and I guess you don't either. But only when someone can and does will this end.

Imagine if they would use all the money this war is eating up invest in a better future to all people all over the world?
People with a future are not that easy to be used in suicide actions.
Of course this will never happen, people with money are the real terrorists.

Well terrorists are mad but not irrational. They have some serious reasons. Thet are mad at America. Don't kid yourself that this is an irrational hatred. They hate us because of our Governments foriegn policy and the arrogant, selfish way that our businesses treat thier countrymen. They percieve us as a force of domination. They wouldn't be trying to get us if our big business and government changed its ways. None of us like war and no one but our leaders want it.

Well... get the hell out of the Middle East, and let them run their own affairs without our interference would help. Seriously, the rise of militant Islam can be put at the door of the Western world. It's our fault.

I agree with you except for the "no philosophy" part. The issues we face with this all revolve around philosophy so trying to discuss anything about it without looking at it in that context is lunacy.
