Yes. Sometimes we can go back to our old selves immediately..other times it can take a few months to years. Be patient..spend more time thinking about how you are here to love yourself and your new baby. Your body will eventually go back to your pre-pregnancy shape..it might even get better!

After having my baby 11 months ago I looked great, I taught wow I won't even have to work out. Yeah well two months later it started coming and it didn't really stop, the pudge stayed. I worked out a bit here and there, did a lot of walks with my baby it stayed. Then when my son was 10 months I found out number two is on the way. I am now three months prego and the pudge is filling out nice, so now I like it again.
Your body is still recovering, it may take a while. But be proud of yourself, you have a beautiful baby. Start out slow and push yourself a bit more each week. But don't push to hard.
They say it takes the women's workings down there TWO years to fully recover from giving birth, so gave your shape some time too.

My son is 2. I still have stomach pudge. It is getting frustrating for me too because i'm 5'4 and weigh about 126. The stomach pudge should not be so promonant. But from my understanding pregnancy can actually make the stomach muscles seperate. So no matter how much running or sit ups you do, you will always appear bigger in the stomach because the muscles are no longer attached. It's about the most frustrating part of pregnancy. You will never look like you did before, atleast without holding your muscles tight (sucking in) all the time.

It can take up to 3 years for a womans body to recover from the trauma of childbirth.
Most are gettin back to normal after 1 year.
My son is also 10 months old and I still have tummy pudge but I'm to busy enjoying being a mum to worry about it!

10 months is not that long ago to have expected full recovery. Are you still breast feeding? Unfortunately for most of us the muscles stretch around the tummy as the baby grows and makes them weaker and not as good at holding the contents tight.

If running is still hard for you try walking. Walking is still great exercise.
If you are really concerned you should talk to your doctor. Woman who are physically fit usually rebound faster than woman who don't
