Triple secs is a strong, sweet and colorless orange flavored liqueur and used in thousands of mixed drinks and recipes as a sweetening and flavoring agent. It is made from the dried peel of oranges found on Curacao, an island in the Caribbean.
"Sec" in French would usually mean 'dry' but in this case, it means "distilled' .

Go to a liquor store and ask for a bottle of Triple Sec. It isn't a measurement, it is a type of alcohol. You put it in drinks, like margharita's and such. I think you can get cheaper versions, but it is better to stick with the original in this case, unless the store keeper can suggest a good, cheaper version that tastes similar.
